"Come on Scotty, you want a little fun?" Derek laughed and Lydia tried to kick out of the groups' grip but all they did was hold , "You can always go first, I don't mind 'used up', am I right?"
"Dude just let her go, you're tripping" I sighed and held out my hand, but he did was lift up the bottom of her skirt slightly so I could see more and more of her pale legs.
"We're all tripping a little, we might as well have fun doing it" he moaned pleadingly as if he needed my permission. I almost wanted to let him for a second, it was a way of coping, just let him do what he wants and you'll be fine. But Lydia won't be...
"Come on, just give her to me"
"HEY!" A familiar voice shouted out from behind the crowd and Derek shoved Lydia into my arms. Dylan marched on us angrily, along with Allison who had a look of horror on her face, "WHAT THE HELL SCOTT?!"
"It.. I.." I stuttered but Lydia was out of my arms and running to Allison for safety.
This. Looked. Terrible.
"You fucking ass!" he yelled. I'd never heard him shout like this before, all I could do was stand there and try and stay calm. Staying calm always agitated me though. I could see Lydia trying to tell Allison something but she looked to busy staring daggers into my chest.
"Oh I wouldn't do t-" Derek started but Dylan's curled fist made contact with my cheek and the garden went silent as I turned painfully from the blow.
I felt it rush into me.
I was absorbing all the anger I could out of the air around me.
I wanted him dead.
I threw a punch back. Unlike Dylan's, mine was better aimed and much, much harder. I saw him fall back into the crowd of my friends and they managed to wrap their arms around his limbs so he was sprawling and writhing just like Lydia had. The girls were screaming and yelling at them to stop but I saw the strong red headed guy throw another hit into my ex-best friends stomach. I felt my body twitch with a mixture of self torture and excitement.
"Boys! Please! Have some manners!" Derek said to the ecstatic crowd, who instantly obeyed and held him tightly without hitting him once, "If Scott wants to hit him, he may do so. But it is not your place"
His hand fell onto my shoulder supportively and I threw him a frightened glance. I can't hit Dylan. He is... Or was my best friend. I can't hurt him. Can I?
"Scott!" Allison cried out suddenly, "Let. Him. Go"
I looked between her and Derek for what seemed a life time. I almost wanted to do as she said until Kat walked onto the grass.
"Unfortunately you can't twist your way into his head anymore, Ally" she smirked and ran her fingers through my hair lightly, "I fixed him"
"F-Fixed him? Fixed him?! Look at what you've done to him!" Allison argued.
"No, no my dear" Derek stepped forwards calmly, "Look at what you've done to him". She went silent and all you could hear was the sound of Stiles struggling and Lydia whimpering, "Boys, I think we should actually thank this girl for her dedication to our cause"
"What are you tal-" Allison snapped but Derek held his hand up to her and she almost seemed compelled into silence.
"This girl. Brought back my best friend, nay, she brought back my brother" he continued before looking at me, "Now what should you say Scotty?"
I gritted my teeth and sucked in a breath before looking my ex up and down, "Thank you for making me better"
"Now are you better enough to make bad people pay or not?" Derek smirked and I shook my head slowly.
"He's my friend Der.." I mumbled.
"And that's the beauty of it Scotty boy" Derek clamped his hands on my shoulders, "That isn't your friend, because in the end he'll go with Allison. Everyone will always pick Allison"
"Don't listen to him!" Lydia yelled finally, "He didn't even try and hurt me, he didn't want to"
"Is that true?.." Allison asked her best friend and the strawberry blonde nodded sheepishly.
"See, see what I mean dude? They didn't even believe you" Derek whispered and I felt my body tense up.
"Don't listen to him Scott" Allison stepped towards me but Katherine hushed her.
"Baby, she just wants to break your heart. We can make you better, we always do" she wrapped her slender arms around my stiff neck and flicked a smirk at Allison before pulling me into a rough kiss. When she released me it was like my whole perspective had been flipped inside out and I was finally seeing things how I used too. How I was supposed too see things from the moment I met Allison.
"There was just no pleasing you, was there?" I grinned and stepped towards Allison, "I did everything to change who I was for you, and you left me within two seconds of being with Isaac"
"It wasn't like th-"
"But I'm a bad person Allison and I'm okay with that" I sighed and cracked my knuckles, "And I am such an idiot for believing you were in love with me... But we don't learn unless we feel pain. I've learned to feel nothing"
"Scott I do love you! Isaac was a mistake!" she cried out.
"I don't want you to think I'm going to stay in the darkness Allison, I'll be coming for all of you" I smiled sadly at her and crouched down so I could look into Dylan's pained eyes, "But you never touch me, I'm indestructible, just ask my mother... So I'm gonna let you go, but not yet"
"Please just stop" he moaned and I heard Lydia sniffle behind me.
"You think I'll just obey you?" I laughed and looked over at Katherine who was giggling and clinging onto Derek's folded arms, "He thinks I'll obey him!"
"We're the kids your parents warned you about" she hissed.
"And I'm gonna show you why" I nodded and threw another, sharper punch into the bridge of Dylan's nose so he let out a strangled scream which sent the two girls hurtling towards us in a failed attempt to help. Allison's hand reached out quickly for my shirt but I jerked out and grabbed her wrist tightly.
"SCOTT STOP!" my mother screamed as I snapped her wrist back and she fell to the floor, writhing in pain as she clutched the broken bone.
I released Allison quickly and stood up, "Let him go, I have no use for him anymore"
"Aww, so soon?" Kat laughed.
"Shut up Katherine" I sighed, "Just cause your in my good books doesn't mean I'll be Mr. Nice Guy, got it?" she nodded slowly and I pulled Dylan out of the groups' grasp, "You were a good friend, but I'm not the same guy as before... Allison's made me better"
"You're insane Scott, they're getting into your head!" Lydia said.
"Please, please, please listen to me!" Allison cried as I dumped Dylan in front of them. I looked carefully at my mother's necklace that was still hanging loosely around Allison's neck, I remembered how much I loved her when I gave that to her, and I remember how she broke my heart when she kissed Isaac.
"I'm listening" I sighed and squared up to my ex girlfriend, "I find your excuses riveting"
"I didn't want to kiss Isaac, I swear I didn't, I was drunk and I didn't know what I was doing" she shook her head, the mascara running down her cheeks, "I thought he was you at first..."
"Oh how I wish I could believe such pretty eyes" I mumbled and looked back at Derek sadly before leaning into her quickly, "I love you Allison"
"Wh-" she started but I already darted away and grabbed Kat's arm.
"Let's go, this party fucking sucks"
