'Bri, you ready?' I asked my excited sister.
'Yes! Yes!! Let's go!!' Aubrey shouted enthusiastically. I rolled my eyes.
'Come along then.'
Aubrey ran to get her tiny tricycle.
'Don't get too late and be back in an hour or two.' Mom said.
I nodded.
Aubrey came running with her tricycle and quickly game mom a hug.
'Bye Momma!! I am going to find leprechauns!!' Aubrey screamed.
'Of course, you will!' mom smiled and gave a quick peck on the nose.
'Now where did leprechauns come from? I thought we were searching for the tooth fairy?' I grinned at my sister.
'Tooth fairies were a long time ago. Now Bri's over leprechauns. Wonder what comes next.' Mom said.
Aubrey smiled shyly. 'Come on! Let's go!!'
'Okay! Okay!! Bye mom.'
Aubrey and I moved from our apartment towards the elevator. Bri was cycling enthusiastically. She practically took that three wheeled thing everywhere.
The elevator door opened and we both got in.
'Are you going to on that all day?' I teased Bri.
"Nope! I will also be on the swing and the slides and the monkey bars!' Bri squeaked.
'Okay, cheeky monkey!'
We walked out of the building into the park that was on the next nearest block.
Bri was honking happily and I had to take strides to keep up with my speedy sister.
I turned to Bri once we reached our normal spot.
'Bri, why don't you cycle and I will be sitting on that bench, keeping an eye on you.'
'Okay!' Bri smiled and cycled away.
I turned and sat down on the bench. I took out my phone and earphones and started listening to my favorite tracks, keeping an eye on Bri.
I watched Bri cycle with her friends.
Laughing and squeaking. Her hazel brown curls bouncing and she threw her head back and laughed.
I smiled and relaxed.
After half an hour, Bri came running to her and climbed into my lap.
I smiled at her. 'Cheeky monkey had fun?'
Bri laughed.
'Cheeky monkey's tired.'
Bri laid her head on my shoulder and slowly closed her eyes.
'Is cheeky monkey sleepy now?' I asked as kissed Bri's head.
'Cheeky monkey's hungry now!' Bri grinned.
I rolled my eyes. Know would be the time where ice-creams would come into the topic.
'I knew you would say that. Want an ice-cream?' I knew Bri would never refuse. And me neither...
'Yay!!!!' Bri screamed and jumped off my lap.
So much for ice cream.
'Okay. Come on.'
Bri skipped lightly beside me as we went to get ice-creams from the ice cream truck nearby. It was always there.
'Hm... Yummy!!' Bri said as she licked on her chocolate cone. I had a pistachio delight. I don't know why I love those.
