I had this habit of jumping awake. I don't exactly know why. I had them from the time I was a baby. I would be peacefully sleeping. No dreams or anything. But I would jump awake. And I would be breathing hard when I did. But this time when I woke up, I wasn't in my bed.

'You okay?'

I looked up to see Nile staring at me, looking slightly worried. That's when I realized. We were still at the beach. And I was still in his arms. Did I just fall asleep on his arms?

'What's the time?' I asked. My voice still sounded super groggy.

'It's a little past five. You have just slept for two hours.

I looked ahead to see the sunrise. That's when my jaw dropped open.

Never have I ever thought that I would see a Tumblr worthy picture in real life. Ever.

And I have always wanted to see the sunrise. At a beach. But this is the first time I have. The sky was still dark. But over the horizon, the sky was lightened in streaming colors. Vibrant yellow and orange. Even some shades of pink. The sun was rising.

And I was in the arms of a guy I have known for just a week. Yet, everything seemed to fit in the picture.

If I could pause a moment and let it ponder upon myself, it would probably be this one.

We didn't talk. Just stared at the sun rise. After a while, I realized about what actually happened last night.

'Holy Shit!' I jumped up from Nile's arms. Instantly, I missed the warmth. Wait, what?

'Mom's gonna screw me!' I screamed at a confused Nile.

Yet, he didn't seem fazed by this. Of course not! It's not HIS mom!

Wait, we never talked about his family.

Back to the topic.

'Already taken care of. Your mom texted a little while ago, panicked. So I texted back, saying that you went jogging in the beach with Alana.' He replied calmly.

It was a good thing. But what if Mom called Alana to check in with her?

'Don't worry. Already called Alana.'

Wow. Seems like I gotta do nothing.

That's when yesterday's stupid stuff came down. Or rather came up. It felt like I just puked up last night's shit.

Okay. So here's what I gotta do. Act like nothing happened. Nothing at all. It was all just a nightmare. Act like it was.

'So, shall we start our training here?' I asked Nile. I was ready to forget shit. Hell yeah.

Well, Brooke will never. So until he decides to take a crash-course on my life, I shall act like nothing's wrong.

Nile raised his eyebrows. He was still on the sand with his hands behind his head.

'Whatever you want, babe.' He got up, dusting himself.

Babe? The hell?

'Babe?' I asked him, raising my eyebrows.
