Ashley's POV

At around nine, Nile and I were already at front of my house.

'So, I will get the music. And I have already registered in our names. Tomorrow, I was thinking maybe we can practice at school itself, cause it will be easier and we will be saving time.'

I nodded. 'Yeah. Okay.'

After a moment of staring into each other's eyes, I opened the door.

'I better get going.'

'Wait,'

I turned around puzzled.

'I have a preposition to make.' He confessed.

I literally rolled my eyes. 'No time for parts of speech now, dummy.'

'Only you, Ashley.' He said face palming.

'Then what is this so-called preposition of yours?' I asked, after slamming the door shut.

Obviously, I wasn't getting out soon.

'You tell me what the other night was all about.' He looked at me in the eye.

What? What??

'And why would I do that?' I said, crossing my arms.

'You need my help.'

That jerk.

I stared at him for a minute and got out of the car, slamming the door as loudly as I could with my feet. I didn't care about anything of his at that moment.

You need my help.

I need your help? Are you nuts?

Or is your brain actually the size of a mosquito? I stormed towards my front garden. I heard him call me back. I'm not gonna listen to what he has to say.

How dare he say that? I need his help?

I'm NOT SOME DAMSEL IN DISTRESS.

'Ashley!'

Without turning, I gave him my middle finger and walked to the front steps.

That's when I felt him pull my hand back. From the middle finger that I gave him.

'WHAT?!' I screamed at him.

'Hear me out!' he said, letting my hand go and putting his hands up in surrender.

'Give me one good reason to. How the hell can you just say that I need your help?? Huh? The other night, was an accident. I couldn't control myself. But that sure as hell doesn't mean I am some pathetic excuse of a helpless teenage girl who can't take in what all she gets, okay? You were just there at the wrong place at the wrong time.'

Slowly, after that outburst, I felt myself calm down.

I literally just felt smoke coming out of my ears.
