Ch 3: Nice to meet you

Amber takes a different way to what Caitlan and i do but either way I'm not cooking dinner tonight.
Caitlan and i are having our own little race as we galloping across our property with our hair is flying behind us.
Caitlan and i arrive at the house after a 5 minute gallop and there is no sign of Amber.
"Well it looks like Amber's cooking dinner tonight." Caitlan says as we both get off our horses and make our way to the stables.
"Yeah. We really need to put on other clothes because to be completely honest we both look like cowgirl hookers." I say as Caitlan and i laugh as we notice that we are still wet and our tops are see through and stuck to our bras.

After undressing the horses and putting them back in the paddock, Amber is still nowhere to be found. All of a sudden Caitlan and i see Amber pushing her quad up the hill towards our house.
"What happened?" I say with a huge grin on my face.
"Well as you can see its not working." Amber says with a sarcastic smile and walks it to our shed.
"So it just stopped?" Caitlan asks.
"Yeah it made this loud clanging noise and then just stopped." Amber says as she shakes her wet hair which covered in dust.
"Well i will have a look at it in the morning but for" As i go to finish the sentence I'm interrupted by this random ute being push up our driveway.
"Do you guys recognise that ute?" Caitlan asks as Amber and i shake our heads.
As the ute gets closer, i see two guys push it from behind and a guy steering.
"Amber grab a horse rug." I say with a serious tone.
"Why?"
"Because the ute is owned by three guys and well your shirt is still wet with no bra on. Go rap a rug around you." I say as she looks at herself and runs leaving Caitlan and i standing there with our shirts wet but at least with bras on.
The ute stops and the guys start walking towards us.
"Hey. Sorry to barge in on you guys but our car broke down and your house was the closet." One of the guys say as all of them are looking us up and down with straight faces.
"Its fine. Im Dakota and this is Caitlan." I say as i shake his hand.
"Nice to meet you. Im Mitch and these two are my brothers Travis and Damon."

As Caitlan and i finish shaking their hands, Amber comes out wrapped in a rug with water dripping from her hair.and she stands in between Caitlan and i with an awkward grin on her face.
"Um Mitch, Travis and Damon. This is Amber." I say as Amber smiles and nods her head.
"Nice to meet you." Damon says as he gives Amber a smile.
"Well we were wondering if there is anyway you guys could help." Mitch says as he looks towards me.
"Well its 2:30pm and it looks like its going to take time so we have space where you three can stay the night just as long as you guys are willing to give up some of that hay in the back of your ute." I say as Caitlan and i smile at each other.
"Sure we have enough to share. Damon get up there and get 4 bails of hay for the girls." Travis says as he punches Damon in the arm.

The boys Mitch Baker, Travis Johnson and Damon Portman are three country friends. Mitch is like the older brother of them. He has brown hair, blue eyes, is muscular with abs and has a smile that would melt anyones heart. He is brave and loves a bit of adventure. Travis is the tough guy with black hair, green eyes, huge muscles and will never be seen in the day without jeans. Damon is the baby of the three. He is loving and he is definitely not the smartest. He has black hair, brown eyes, light stubble and is like the puppy dog in the pet store window you cant walk past without a smile on your face.

Damon holds his arm as he jumps onto the back of the ute.
"Ok then its settled. You guys are staying the night and Amber, you lost so you are still cooking dinner." Caitlan says as she gives Amber a push that causes Amber to trip over. As it hits the ground, Mitch and Travis' eyes go wide and as Damon throws the hay bail off the ute, he sees Amber, forgets to let go of the hay and crashes on the dry dirt face first.
Amber quickly picks herself up and the rest of us, except for Damon, start laughing.
"Well looks like you two are going to have a lot in common." Travis says with a smile as Damon death stares him.
"Well you guys look tired so Caitlan will show you around and will show you your rooms." I say as i start to walk off.
"Dakota, where are you going?" Caitlan says.
"Im going for a ride into town to get some parts for the quad." I say as i start walking to the tack room.
"Dakota can i come too because i need to grab some stuff for the weekend." Mitch says as he grabs his wallet.
"Sure. Can you ride?" I say as he jogs up to me.
"Of course i can."
"Well you can ride Star. He's the bay one in that paddock over there." I say as i point towards Star.
"Ok i will go get him." Mitch says as he grabs a lead and walks to the paddock and i just watch his back muscles tense.

Wow what a day and i feel its only going to get better.
