Ch 29: This may sound completely stupid.

Amber's POV

"So just to get this straight for the last time, that douche bag that was with Caitlan is the reason why you two had a car crash which none of us realised happened and the reason why Dakota and Nate never showed up was because they found the car and rescued you." I say as Damon places his hand on my leg as my eyes start to fill.

"Yes thats correct." Travis says as he slowly drops his head.

"You should've seen the way he was looking at me like he knew everything about me, i was so close to knocking him on his psychotic ass because of what has happened in the past." Damon says as Travis just keeps looking at the ground.

"Well how could you forget the person who busted through a window and shot you in the arm all while breaking out your prisoner, the very person you torture." Travis says as he looks back up at Damon and they just smile at each other.

"So this all began because you refused to kill a man who had a kid and the kid didn't have a mother?" Eden asks as Travis looks at her and freezes.

"In a way i guess." He replies and then the front door swings open suddenly causing everyone to jump in fright except Damon and Travis who are to angry to be scared.

"Sorry to frighten you guys." Nate says as he and Dakota walk through the front door and i cant help but run to Dakota and hug her.

"Its going to be ok, Amber." Dakota whispers as i cant help but let tears fall onto her shirt.

"I hope so." I whisper back as she slowly releases me from her hug.

Nate rubs my back softly and we all head to the lounge room while Dakota and Nate start to make coffees but they are still close enough to hear us.

"So what are we going to do?" Mitch asks as Travis sits on the lounge with his fingers intertwined.

"I don't know but one thing i do know is that we are going to get our Caitlan back." Travis says as  everyone just sits in silence for a while and i just stare at the ground trying to hold back my tears.

Dakota and Nate walk into the room handing out coffees and then they head back to the kitchen to get some food.

"Well if we are going to get her back its definitely not going to be easy." Damon says as he stands up and everyone looks up at him.

"Yeah we know but do you have a plan?" Eden asks as Damon nods and gives Travis a smile.

"That smile is dangerous, what are you thinking?" Travis asks as Damon shakes his head.

"Well this may sound completely stupid-"

"Whats new?" I says as he rolls his eyes and smiles at me.

"But what if you and i gives these guys a few little lessons and teach some of the stuff we know. Ace wont do anything until he knows you know about Caitlan so lets use this time wisely." Damon says as Travis pauses in silence.

"Train us?" Eden says as Dakota and Nate enter the room again.

"Yeah. We could teach you how to fight, how to sneak, how to go undercover and how to shoot even." Damon says as we looks around at everyone.

"You must be joking. Could you imagine seeing your people like girl, no offence bro, holding a gun and kicking butt? Seriously she might shoot herself in the foot, some people just aren't made for that stuff." Dakota says as i Damon smiles.

"Hey" i say as i stand to my feet, "but you kinda got a point" i finish as i slowly sit back down.

"I didn't say she would be shooting anything. I could see her being good at undercover." Damon says as he winks at me and Dakota looks at him a slowly nods.

"So Travis, where so you stand?" Mitch asks as he looks at everyone and nods at Damon.

"Well lets do it but only if everyone is prepared to put in the effort." Travis says as looks around the room again.

"We are prepared to do what it take to get our friend back even though i know she definitely doesn't think of me as one of her favourites." Nate says as he wraps his arm around Dakota.

"Wait are you two ok now?" Travis asks Dakota as she just smiles and nods.

"Awesome." Travis replies as he looks back at Damon and places a hand on his shoulder.

"Well lets get started tomorrow morning but right now lets just figure out where everyone will be placed in ability wise." Travis says as Damon smiles and nods.

"Ok so my girl is going to learn the undercover side of things." Damon says as he looks at me and smiles.

"Alright, Mitch can do that with Amber also since he is usually the people person." Travis says as Mitch nods in agreement.

"Eden, you can be our eyes and our ears, i will teach you how to hack and crap like that." Travis says as Eden smiles.

"And finally Dakota and Nate. Nate you are going to be a gunman with me and Dakota you are on combat with Travis which means you two will be getting most of the action." Damon says as Travis looks at the ground in thought.

"Wait what if i swap with Dakota?" Nate says as Travis looks up at him.

"I know you are trying to keep your girl outta trouble but her and Travis will make a good team and she will be great at combat which means she wont get hurt." Damon says as Travis looks at Nate.

"Look he is right and as gunman you can watch our backs. We need you there." Travis says as Nate just looks at Dakota.

"I'll be fine, seriously." Dakota says to Nate as i stand up.

"Look we are all a team and we know how everyone thinks. I know Damon wouldn't do this unless he was sure she could do it." I say as Nate kisses her on the forehead.

"Hey mate, like i have said before she is not your property." I say as he death stares me as a joke.

"Actually i kinda am now." Dakota says as the whole room looks at me in silence awaiting my response.

"Wait what?! Since when and when exactly were you going to tell me?!" I say as everyone looks at me with wide eyes.

"Bro it happened like 10 minutes ago so no one knew and i was going to tell you after we got all this crap sorted!" She yells back at me as we both just stare at each other in silence.

I look at her fiercely and then let out a little smile and then run to her and wrap my arms around her in a boa-constrictor like embrace.

"I ship it." I whisper into Dakota's ear.

"Alright so everyone should go get some sleep and let this sink in because tomorrow morning is when we get into it." Travis says as everyone rolls their eyes.

Great! Time to learn how to be lady like and sexy. Screwy my life.
