Ch 11: Na-kota???

After having a few laughs and stuffing our faces full of amazing food (by the way who knew clumsy could cook?) we put all the dishes in the sink and Caitlan, Mitch, Travis, and Damon head up stairs to their rooms after saying goodnight to everyone.

"What time is it?" I say as i have a giant stretch.
"11:30 wow that went sooo fast." Amber says as she runs her hand through her short hair.

"Yeah and i cant sleep in." Nate says as he cleans the table for me.

"Why not?" Amber says as she grabs a bottle of water and lets out a huge yawn.

"I have to grab something for Eden, my sister before she arrives because apparently she will be in town tomorrow at around 9 so i want to get her something." Nate says as he bites his lip nervously awaiting for Amber to notice what he had said.

Nate and i both look at Amber as everyone stands in silence then after about a max of 10 seconds, the penny finally dropped and Ambers eyes went wide.

"Since when do you have a sister?" Amber says with a smile.

"Since i got a random phone call." Nate says with a slight bit of laughter.

"Oh well good luck Nate." Amber says as she wraps an arm around him and Nate smiles and hugs her back.

"Well lets get off that touchy topic and change it to something a little more personal." Amber says as she lets go of Nate and gives a cheeky grin.

"A little more personal?" I ask as i sit at the kitchen bench and Nate stands next to me as he leans back against the bench.

"I have been waiting and waiting for you two to date so when is it happening?" Amber says as Nate and i just look at each other wide eyed.

"Amber go to bed." I say with a giggle as Amber gives a slight struggle and waddles her way up stairs.

"She is a special one." Nate says as he goes to the fridge to grab a bottle of water.

"Yeah but she is a pretty amazing one." I say as i start to walk into the lounge room and Nate follows.

"Yeah. The notorious goat killer. Does sound like an amazing friend." Nate says with a little giggle as we both lay down on the couch but we weren't cuddling.

"Yeah special but amazing. Caitlan is too, that girl can catch a cold in the middle of summer and trip over her own shadow." I let out a little laugh as Nate had water in his mouth and he sprayed it everywhere.

"You are too. Its not only Caitlan and Amber because you do some crazy things for them."

"Oh really. Like what?" I say as i lay flat on my back.

"I see what they don't. You lookout for them and even though Caitlan thinks she is the mother, she is actually the whining aunty, Amber is the teenager girl who has lived a million lives but you are like an older brother to both of them." Nate say as my eyes start to water.

"Are you alright?" Nate continues as he sits up and sees the shimmer in my eyes.

Nate smoothly moves next to me and hugs me as tears slowly begin to fall. I'm one of those people that if I'm about to cry and someone comes over to help it just makes me cry more.

"Thanks Nate. You're not to bad yourself." I say as i wipe away the tears from my puffy cheeks.

"I know i know." He says as he wriggles to get comfortable with an arm still around me.

All of a sudden i feel hi arm drop and feel heavier. I look towards him and his eyes are shut and mouth had dropped to a flat line.

"Nate?"

The idiot has fallen asleep and i cant move. Oh well i will just sleep here with him because the clock above the tv says 11:45 and he needs sleep.

"Goodnight dopey." I whisper as i get comfy and feel my eyes drop and i become unconscious of whats going on around me.

"Dakota?"
"Dakota?"
"Hmmm." I mumble and turn one my side.
"Did we do anything last night because I'm only in my underwear?" Nate says as he pulls me back onto my back.

"Um not that i remember. You must have done that yourself." I say as my eyes are still shut.

"Alright well its only 6 am so we can go back to sleep." Nate says as i let out an irritated moan.

We both go back sleep int the same way we did last night because we couldn't be bothered to move.

"So is it finally happening?" I hear a voice say as Nate and i both wake up.

I open my heavy eyes to see Amber, Damon and Caitlan around us like vultures.

"What?" Nate says in a yawning/stretching voice.

"Is it happening?" Amber repeats with this huge grin.

"Is what happening?" I say as i stretch and fall off the lounge and land with a thud.

"Na-kota." Amber says with a smile

"Na what?" Nate says with the most confused look on his face.

"Its your ship name. You know Nate and Dakota, you put it together and it makes Na-kota?" Caitlan says with an excited smile.

"Oh uh no there is not a Na-kota." I say as Nate is still thinking about the ship name.

"Well what was this then?" Damon says with a confused face.

"Its called giving comfort." Nate says as i pull myself to my feet.

"Well this, whatever it is, i support it." Damon says as he and Amber walk out of the room and Caitlan just stands there smiling.

"Did you loose something over here bug eyes?" Nate says as i sit on the lounge next to him.

"You two are adorable." Caitlan cheerfully says as she skips out of the room.

Nate and i just look at each other with blank faces and then just laugh.

"Its 6:30 so what time did you want to leave?" I ask as the laughter calms down.

"8 o'clock maybe."

"Alright well i am going to have some breakfast so figure out what your doing." I say as i walk out of the room and leave Nate by himself.

Grrruh. My stomach grumbles as soon as i open the fridge.
