Ch 16: Crap that wasnt inner monologue

Amber's POV

"Slowly." Damon says as i am slowly walking over to Texas in the stable.

"Shut up Damon."

"Ok ok. Im just trying to help." Damon says as i quickly turn my head and raise my eyebrows.

"Well your help is making me feel like a big ass polar bear skating on very thin ice." I say as Texas looks at me and i swear he raised an eyebrow at me.

I jump back and hit my head on the edge of the stable door and Damon quickly opens the door and grabs me out from the stable.

"Are you ok?" Damon asks as i hold the back of my head and he brushes the hair out of my eyes.

"Yeah I'm fine." I say as i continue to hold my head.

"Don't scare me like that." Damon says as i look up at him with my face still screwed up from the pain.

Damon continues to stare into my eyes and he removes my hand from my head and i look into his...well mega gorgeous eyes. He leans in and kisses me and then grabs my hands.

"You're a great kisser." I say as my fave drops because i said that out loud. Crap that wasn't inner monologue.

"Uhh thanks." Damon says with a million dollar smile.

Dakota's POV

As we ride through trees and dense forestry, i see light peering through the gaps in the trees and leaves.

"You might want to get off of Dream and walk him from here." Nate says as he slides off of Kobe and continues to walk forward through the thick bushes and dense trees, out of sight.

Dream nudges me as i pull the reins over his head and we both start to push through the thick greenery.

After the struggle of pushing and shoving through pointy branches filled with thick leaves, Dream and i make it out alive to see this huge wooden stables/shed/farm house.

I stand there in amazement as Nate just smiles at me. He was Kobe over to one of the two little stables and walk Kobe in to shut the door behind them.

"Are you going to put Dream in the stable?" Nate asks as i snap out of trance of how amazing this thing is.

"Uh yeah." I say as i walk Dream over and put him in the stable.

"Do you want to have a look upstairs?" Nate says with a smile as he can see I'm enjoying myself already.

"Sure."

I follow Nate up these old wooden stairs to this amazing hangout pad that had a window that looked over this random arena, a queen bed on the far right, a lounge and a study desk and chair. Of course along with a few other things that a man needs like a mini fridge and a closet with a lock around the handles.

"Wow this is amazing." I say as i sit down on the lounge and scan how awesome the room is.

"Thanks. Its been here for quite a while and i never told or showed anyone before." Nate says as he grabs this jug of water and two glasses from his mini fridge.

"Was this here when we were still close?" I ask as he pours me a glass.

"Uh yeah. I didn't want to show anyone this place because, well apparently my dad and one of his mates started this place when they were teens and they just finished it before he died." Nate says as he looks around the room.

"Oh I'm sorry Nate. Lets change the subject." I say as i get off the lounge and look at down at the random arena in the distance which was next to pitch black, making it incredibly hard to see.

"What are you looking at?" Nate asks as he walks to the window with me.

"Whats that down there?" I ask as Nate smiles and starts to walk away.

"I was wondering how long it would take for you to notice that." Nate says as i look back out the window and suddenly these huge flood lights turn on and light up the whole arena.

"Whoa." I say as my gaze is fixed on the even but soft looking ground and rodeo style gates that surround the huge arena.

"You like?" Nate says as i look over my shoulder and he is holding to plates that has this amazing salad and lamb cutlets on them.

"Are you talking about the food or the arena?" I say as i take off my hat and run my fingers threw my hair to takeaway the notorious hat hair.

"Well i has talking about the arena but add the food to that list." Nate says as he places the food on the wooden box in front of the lounge.

"The arena is yours?" I say as he smiles and nods his head.

"This place is amazing." I say as Nate sits on the lounge and i join him.

"Yeah it is." He says as he gives me a knife and fork.

"Thanks. This looks so good." I say as i place my plate of food on my lap.

"Dont act like you are seriously focused on the food." Nate says as he grabs his plate and starts to cut into the cutlet.

"What are you talking about?" I say as i cant help but smile because i know exactly what he's talking about.

"I tell you what, after we eat and drink we can go down and ride as long as you please." Nate says with a bright smile.

"Ok. Oh and by the way why are you sleeping at mine when you have a completely fine bed just behind us?" I say as i take a bite of the amazing lamb.

"Well i literally just put that in this morning before i went and saw Eden." Nate says in a quick and serious tone.

"Sure sure."

"Honestly its the truth. I haven't even slept in it yet." Nate says with a slight laugh.

"Whatever." I say as we both continue to eat.

After about an hour filled with eating, talking, laughing and a few punches, we both decided that it would be a good idea to go out and check the arena.

"I think your going to love it." Nate says as we both ride out towards the arena.
