Ch 28: Easy turbo

Travis' POV

"Why do i always fall for her?!" I say as i walk up the stairs to my chill pad above the stables at my place.

"She somehow twists me around her finger and then just expects me not to wanna help her when she needs it!" I say as i open my mini-fridge and grab out a beer and the slam it shut with my foot.

"I understand that she is going through a tough time but seriously? I would have preferred a punch in the face then that little sweetheart she said straight to my face." I say as i sit on my lounge and look at the floorboards.

"What is wrong with her? Every time we start to go ok she just pulls the rug out from underneath us. I still haven't even kissed her."

I just continue to talk to myself like a chick while sitting on my lounge and drinking we suddenly Kobe starts to get restless in his stable.

He starts to walk around in circles while breathing heavily and he keeps looking outside like he sees something.

"Kobe whats going on?!" I yell as i walk down stairs and jog over to Kobe.

He just ignores me and continues to do the same thing. I look outside and i see a few bushes rustling and moving.

"What is that?" I whisper to myself as whatever it is comes closer.

I step back and an empty bottle which was next to the stable door and stand right next to the entrance, hidden by the door way.

What if its the people who have Caitlan, how the hell did they find me?

I grab the neck of glass bottle tightly and take a deep breath as i hear whoever it is step out of the bushes.

Ok i have the element of surprise to my advantage to lets use it.

I jump out into the entrance and go to swing but i stop my arm around 3 centimetres away from the face which was non other than Dakota's.

"Bloody hell Dakota!" I yell as Dakota was her eyes squeezed shut still awaiting the impact.

"Easy turbo." She says as she opens her eyes slowly and quickly puts Dream in the spare stable.

"I could've hurt you!"

"I most probably would've deserved it." Dakota says as she starts to walk towards me and i just start to walk upstairs. 

"Look Nate can we just talk?" She says as i chuck the empty bottle in the bin and i reach my chill pad and grab my other beer that i not long ago opened.

"Ok lets talk. Lets talk about how you continue to push me away time and time again,or maybe how you let people come close and then as soon as they want to help and be apart of your life you have to shut them down, or maybe just how you are a giant piece of work that somehow every time takes my heart. Huh do you still wanna talk?" I say as i take a huge drink as Dakota stands in front of the staircase and looks at me with her eyes watering up.

"Nate I'm sorry."

"What are you sorry for? I don't just want you apologising when you don't know what you are apologising for."

"Im sorry that i keep messing up and ruining everything. Im sorry for doing and being all that stuff you just said about me because you were completely correct with all of it. Im sorry that I'm not the one you want and I'm definitely sorry for what i said at my house."

"Dakota your wrong."

"About what?" She says as i walk up to her and place my beer down on the coffee table.

"You are the one i want. I have wanted you for ages but every time we get close you have to pull it down. You cant handle the thought of us being together, you ant handle the thought of you and i being us. You have always just wanted to be you and you only against the world, i wanted it to be you and i against the world and you could never see that."

"Nate"

"No please don't say anything." I say as i step towards her and look into her glassy brown eyes and look at the tears falling from her face.

"Dakota i don't want anything else to be said between us about us tonight except this last thing that I'm going to say." I say as i wipe away her tears.

"I think i love you and i am sick of sitting back and not going anywhere so this is me stepping out."

I pull her in and go down to kiss her. I was expecting her to pull back but instead she starts to kiss me back. I hold her tight and she does the same with me and then her back pocket starts to vibrate and she jumps back.

"Im sorry but i really need to take this, its going to be Travis." She says as i just smile and she wipes away her tears.

PICKS UP PHONE

"Hello this is Dakota."

"Hey its Travis, well Mitch, Damon, Amber and Eden came home early. They came home looking for you and Nate and found me all bruised and freaked out but other than that they said they saw Caitlan at the party but she was convinced her name was Nikki. She was also with that guy i told you about, Ace. I have let all the peeps in on what happened and whats happening and by the sounds of it Caitlan has amnesia so I'm going to kill Ace."

"Look just calm down, I'm coming home now so we will figure out whats going on from there."

"Alight, see you soon."

HANGS UP PHONE

"Im coming." I say as i grab a jacket.

"Nate you don't have to."

"I want to, you can yell at me and hit me but i want to be there for you." I say as she just smiles and gives me a kiss on the cheek.

"Wait what does that mean?" I say as Dakota runs downstairs and jumps on Dream and i follow by getting on Kobe.

"It means I'm breaking out of old habits and well i don't want to fight alone anymore." She says as we start to head out.

"Oh by the way, could you fill me in on the whole Ace thingy please." I say as we both cant stop smiling.

"Oh sure, i will tell you as we ride because i really want to get back to everyone and get my friend back."
