Midnight Memories

Here is the new chapter guys and girls! Hope you enjoy! And yes, I am a fan of one direction. But I'm not one of those dedicated directioners, even though I would have liked to try to be one if I had the time. I just love their music and I'm not that infatuated with the Boys. Sure I think all of them are handsome but if I ever meet them in real life, I would like to be their FRIEND, not love interest. I'm not saying it's bad if you want to be one of their love interests, it's just that in my opinion, I would like to be their friend. Anyways, please enjoy!

Natsu's POV

A couple of hours later I woke up still on Lucy's lap. My motion sickness was gone now and I'm feeling fine. Lucy fell asleep in an awkward position. So I lifted her up, being careful not to wake her, and arranged the seat to be a bed. I laid on my side and laid Lucy beside me with her head on my arm. I wrapped my other arm around her waist and held her close to me.

I looked at Lucy as she slept peacefully in my arms. My gazed lingered on her lips longer than necessary making me want to kiss them until they are swollen but I held back, still remembering Lucy's words from earlier.

I looked at her and promised myself that I would fight for this. I would fight for Lucy and I'd be damned if I let her get away from me. I will always be by her side for the rest of their lives, I'll tell her that I loved her, love her, and will always love her for eternity. With those thoughts I drifted off to sleep with Lucy tucked safely in my arms.

I was woken up with a tap on my shoulder. I opened my eyes to see Capricorn looking through the now opened door. I just realized that we already stopped and that we are already in the front of our rest house in Magnolia.

"I already put your bags inside the house sir." He said.

I nodded and got up, careful of not waking up Lucy and looked at Capricorn.

"I can take it from here Capricorn. You can go and be with your family now." I said. I know that probably one of the reasons Capricorn drove us here is that he gets to be with his family.

"Thank you sir Natsu." Capricorn said and left.

I carried Lucy bridal style inside our house, making sure to lock the door, and laid her down on our bed. I laid down next to her, hugged her close to me and drifted off to sleep.

I woke up on the bed, alone. I rose up form the bed and looked around frantically once the fact that Lucy wasn't with me sank in. I then heard faint singing coming from downstairs and I sighed in relief. She's safe. I got up from bed and stretched. I noticed that it was pitch black outside. I checked the time and it was a little past midnight.

I went down the stairs and saw Lucy in the kitchen making something. I creeped up behind her silently and looked over her shoulder.

"What are you making Luce?" I asked, whispering it to her ear.

She jumped in surprise and turned to look at me, our faces inches from each other. She squeaked in surprise and backed away from you.

"Natsu. You almost gave me a heart attack." She said.

"I only asked what you were making." I said, pouting. She giggled and turned around to finish what she was making.

"Our midnight snack. Or what used to be our midnight snack when we were younger." She said.

She picked up our midnight snack and headed to the living room. I followed after her. You're probably wondering what our midnight snack is. Well I won't tell you since it's LUCY AND MY midnight snack, and I don't want you copying our idea. So just use your imagination.

"What do you want to watch?" Lucy asked me as rummaged through our dvd stack to find a movie.

"What ever you want." I said as I started munching on our midnight snack.

She then held up the cd titanic and I groaned. She giggled and played the cd.

"Hey! You gave me the decision to choose then you have to watch what I want to watch." She said.

"But this movie makes you cry and I don't like seeing you cry." I said pouting and she blushed but try to hide it .

"Awww. Is my Luce blushing?" I teased as I try to meet her eyes, though she always avoids eye contact.

"Hey. Stop it. Or else I won't make our midnight snack anymore." She said and I immediately stopped. I'll do anything for our midnight snack.

We watched the movie and by the end of it, as I said, Lucy was in tears. I chuckled remembering the fact that no matter how many times we watched this she still ends up crying in the end.

"Hey! Jack dying isn't something to chuckle about. He was supposed to live happily ever after with Rose. Why are you so insensitive?" She asked, sniffling.

"I wasn't laughing at the movie Luce. I was laughing at the fact that no matter how many times we watch this you still end up crying." I told her.

"It isn't my fault I'm sensitive to this kind of stuff. As I said, they were supposed to be together forever. So why did they make jack die so early?" Lucy retorted.

"Maybe it because it's his time now. It tells us that life is too short to waste it. That we should spend anytime we have with the ones we love. " I said.

I see Lucy stiffen and I looked at her curiously.

"Luce......" I said questionably.

She seem to be spacing out and I was getting worried. I went close to her and gently shook her. Her expression didn't change and I was getting more worried by the second.

"Luce? Luce! LUCE!" I said, my voice getting louder and louder, while still shaking her gently.

She seem to get back to her old self as she shook her head.

"Are you okay?" I asked worriedly and she seem to start to distant herself for me.

I can't lay that happen again. I just got her back and I'm not letting her getaway again.

I'm sorry for not updating that last two months. So many things have been happening at school and at my personal life that I didn't have time to update, adding to the fact that I am having severe writers block in this story. Though I know that the story goes, I'm having a hard time progressing it. So I'm really really sorry for not updating. But over the Christmas break I made like ten chapters so you will be seeing me more the next forty days. I'll start to update again every four days.

Again, I'm so sorry and I like to thank all my readers especially the ones that waited for me.
