“Ashton, calm down a little bit will you?”

It was 5am, weekend was over which meant, though it was summer break, I had to head back to work, along with my parents except I was the one who was in charge for my little brother since I worked at a childcare. Ashton as the little kid had a lot of energy, so did my mother. Yet my father and I never really were morningpersons, and that's the only thing I had in common with my dad actually. I was the only one in the family who looked like my mother, along with my Twin, while the others on their part were completely my father.

First there was Scott, the oldest of 5 but brain as big as peanuts. He still lived at home but stayed with his friends more often since they owned a club in the middle of town together and his friends lived right above it. He was only one year older but he really seemed mature and in his early 30, that was the impression you get before you get to know him. Than there's me and Felicity. The two leaders of five. We've always been really independent, which brought us very close. We shared a room and shared the same intrests. Last year I had a heard time saying goodbye to her. She has always been the most talented one, our little artist. She moved to New York to chase after her dream since some proffesional school offered her a scolarship. I rarely saw her, whenever she moved away I felt my room wasn't the same anymore. That's why I rather stay at Cleo's. When we turned 7, Eleanor turned out from nowhere. All of sudden my mother announced us we were going to become big sisters and brother. Eleanor was the smartest and favorite of the family. She's 12 now and I'm damn sure she's already smarter that her 20year old brother. And last but not least was little Ashton, and actually. He was planned. My mother wanted a little baby boy again, Ashton.

Ashton was the cutest of the family, even if you compared our baby pictures, none of us had the incredibly baby blue eyes like Ashton had. He would just give you this pouty stare and you would give in. That's what I was preparing for right now. He couldn't wait to go back to childcare, meet new kids. Yet I didn't understand it, mother said when I was a kid I liked childcare, but not as much as he did. He litteraly woke me up this morning, jumping up and down at the end of my bed, wanting me to take him to childcare now school was finished.

I loved my little brother, he could tell when any of us had a bad day, and you could tell when he had one too. Well I could, because I probably spent the most time with him. Ashton was a cuddler. If he noticed you had a bad day, he wouldn't come begging you for attention. He would wait until you're alone relaxing and he would cuddle up to you, giving you a lasting peck on the cheeck before running off. My best buddie, and only guy in my life.

“I'm leaving in 5 minutes, will you be in the car by then or are you staying home?” I suggested, picking up my bag, bottle of water and apple.

“Car.” he whispered and sprinted off the the front yar, where my car was parked.

I shook my head smiling at his energy as I followed him.

“Belle, darling, there will be a new little girl coming to join us. Alice and Grace are quite busy, will you take care of her? She will be in here in a few minutes.” I nodded, letting the toddlers behind me playing with some toys and wandering up to the door. Where I noticed a familiar male structure.

“Shoot.” I muttered. I turned around quickly calling for Pam, trying to come up with some excuse, but she was nowhere to be find.

“Hey you, excuse me but can you help me? Do you work here?” He spoke and that was the only confirmation I needed to know it was him. The new guy.

I turned around with my head down, not being able to face him, eyes locked on his feet.

“You?” His thick British accent spoke. I was used to those, the British accents. Yet I found them still quite weird. At home we all had those typical Australian accents, well at least Felicity, Scott and I had them along with my parents. We moved from Australia to London when I was around five.

I pushed some hair behind my ear lifting my head, only to have his eyes meet mine. “Yeah...”

We stood there pretty awkward for a while. The toddler was wriggling on his arm. Her smaller ones spread out to reach for me. He rolled his eyes giving her to me. The little girl being statisfied started giggling and playing with my rather short brown hair.

He let out an rather annoyed sigh which startled me a little bit. “I'm picking her up tomorrow.”

Before I could say that that wasn't how childcare worked he left, slamming the door shut.

Great, now I had to face him again tonight. Lux wasn't able to stay here for the night. Childcare closed at 9. First Grace, Alice and I leave in order and later Pam locks up. Next morning Pam comes first around 5 and than I come along the others an hour later. That was how it worked, no one stayed at night because the parents would come get their little kids back when they returned from work.

“Come on Lux, We're going to meet some new kids.” I spoke, making the girl hopping on my arm, only to cause her to giggle even more.

Lux immediately got on pretty well with Ashton, which I adored. Ashton mostly wanted to be around me, and now so did Lux. Having two is always better than one. They rather make friends from their same age.

I always found it sad how Ashton doesn't really know Felicity, he doesn't now about his big sister. I wonder if Lux sees Harry as her father or a big brother and how Lux immediately liked me. I've been working with kids now for 4 years and I know it that tuddlors don't get attached to adults really fast unless if they know they have seen them before. I was damn sure Lux had never seen me before last weekend.

The day passed by, all the kids left except Lux. I could see her gaze saddening with every parent picking up their child and the child running in those spread open arms. Lux had to wait with me. I wanted to take her home, and I really could except that I was going out tonight.

The last hour passed, for the first time I stayed late with Pam. I felt so sorry for the little sweet girl, to be left alone. She didn't have any family, she got stuck up with an asshole of a brother.

“Pam, I'm taking this baby girl home, her brother isn't picking her up.”

“What about her parents?” Pam her voice was laced with curiousity and worry when she spoke.

“I've heard they passed away a year ago.” I spoke silently, as if it was painful for Lux to hear it. “I know where the boy lives. Give me a message when he calls you, I will bring her back home.”

“That's very nice of you darling, I'll sure do. See you tomorrow.” She pressed her cheeck against mine, making a smacking sound before she turned and left to her car, and I left to mine.

This isn't anything big but I just don't have a lot of time lately #exams #essays #performances ugh :(  I promise that from June 21st I will upload moreeee! :D MAYBE there is one part left  after this one before it goes on hold for 2 weeks BUT I CANT PROMISE! & Maybe I will eventually write during breaks when I study like I can't study 10 hours a day, I might die if I do that! So yeah, sorry for letting you wait. This might be crappy I appologize, It's just a filler about her job at childcare because that's how she gets more in contact with Lux and Harry etc. I hope you enjoyed it! xxxxxx
