Chapter Fourteen
Riley Matthews

As soon as Maya and I had gotten into my apartment, we started asking each other more questions. As soon as we were done asking each other questions I let Maya get on my desktop and I pulled out my laptop. We then opened up an app called "Google Slides" and started to make our presentations.

"Hey, Maya, what color should I make my presentation?" I asked.

"I don't know; it's you're presentation, not mine," she answered, not taking her eyes off of her own screen.

"Yeah, but it's about you. I want to make it a color that you like."

"I don't know; I like a lot of colors. Do whatever color you want."

    "Alright, pink it is then!"

I then clicked on the option that allowed me to change the color of the presentation and made it pink. Knowing that Maya did not like this color, I had a smirk on my face.

"But, not that color!" Maya protested as she turned around in the swivel chair that she was sitting in and looked at my screen, "Riley, you know that I don't like pink! Ugh, you even made it light-pink! The ugliest of all pink! It reminds me of yogurt!"

    "But, I like yogurt!"

"So do I, but not the color of it! Please change it!"

I smirked. "But you said that I could make it any color that I wanted!"

Maya groaned and rolled her eyes. "Alright, you asked me what color that I wanted you to make your presentation. I want you to make it teal."

I smirked and crossed my arms. "But before you had said that I could make it whatever color that I wanted. I want to make it pink."

Maya smirked back at me. "Alrighty then. If you won't make your presentation about me blue, then I'll make mine about you grey."

My eyes widened. "No, please don't make it grey! I hate grey! It's so dull and boring! If you don't make it grey, I'll make yours teal! I promise!"

    "Promise?"

    I just laughed. "I promise!"

"Ok, I won't make yours grey then."

I sighed out of relief. "Oh, thank goodness!"

Maya just laughed as I quickly changed the color of my presentation from light-pink to teal.

"So, what color would you like for me to make my presentation?" Maya asked me.

"Well, my favorite colors are blue, pink, and, purple, so one of those would be nice," I answered.

Maya paused for a second. "Alright, I think that I'll go with purple since whenever I see that color I think of you."

    "Really? How come?"

    "Because of your purple cats."
