Chapter 22 Basics of Basics

(I feel beat I know where I want this book to go,though I don't know if this story will be any good...meh who cares enjoy the story)

*The sun was setting once again I could smell the humidity in the air. Whereas most people despise it I take quiet nicely to it,like moth to flame.*

"Damn this humidity is tough!"

"Well too bad you are going to have to learn to like it. We will be in this area for quiet some time."

"Aren't you bothered by it? Hair getting frizzy sweaty,any of that normal girl worries?"

"Nope my hair just gets thicker my skin smoother I don't get very sweaty as for frizz my hair tends to curl when in humidity which annoys me a bit. Otherwise no."

"Yup I though this before,but now I am saying it you are waaaaay too weird of a person."

"Hey watch it rookie if I want to I can kill ya in a split second barehanded while you wield a weapon."

"I don't doubt that so I won't try you."

"Smart move."

*Drake was learning fast how to react to my assassin dialect.*

"Well it's about time I teach you how to take care of wounds,cook,and clean just incase I get chopped up into pieces I don't want ya to be totally lost so at least you could attempt to treat my wounds."

"Sure?......."

"Ok first thing is first I will teach you the basics of medical aid for assasins."

"Isn't it the same as civilians?"

"Not in the least bit. First thing is first to treat a wound you clean it out however a minor injury for an assassin consists of gashes at least six inches deep so you have to wash and might even have to cut the wound clean from infection. We will practice sewing on a carcass later as well as treatment all you need to know for now is cleaning if I am still conscious when injured I can always stitch my own wound closed. Ok so how do you clean an assasins wounds?"

"You clean it with water and or cut infection out?"

"Good job what do you think you do first cook or do the laundry?"

"Cook."

"Wrong you do the laundry food can wait if you have to choose using your water for food or laundry you always do laundry,because you only have one pair of cloths which need to be clean. Food can always be eaten raw once you build your immune system up,which we will work on slowly with a few herbs to help digest the raw meat."

"I didn't realize assassins had it so tough..."

"Most don't they tend to stick to one area,however I don't which makes it hard to track me and builds my names reputation just that much more."

"So how many places have you been exactly?"

"I lost track after one hundred."

"There is that much world out there?!"

"Yeah,I have been to places so hot there is hardly any rain so cold you will freeze to death in minutes so rainy it always rains and so on so forth. Among the younger assassins rookies I am know as the wondering assassin. I have more enemies than I care to count and so few allies I might as well be friendless. Which I don't care about all that means is I have less social skills which I rarely see many people anyway so it doesn't matter."

"It kinda does."

"Yeah well when you get mauled by a bear don't come crying to me saying that talking it out didn't work."

"A bear?"

"Yeah a big furry animal it varies in shape and size as well as fur color, has long sharp claws and nasty teeth, a bear."

"Sounds interesting."

"They are,most of the time they are peaceful just don't get between a mama and a cub. Ya learn from personal experience   if it hadn't had been for Darkshadow I wouldn't  be here telling ya now."

"How big exactly is it?"

"Hmm the smallest probably  about six feet tall when standing. That's only the black bear though(can't remember the exact height) depending on the bear determines weather you play dead or fight back you can't outrun a bear,unless of course you get on Darkshadow then you can outrun anything."

*I measured my height compared to Drake and smirked.*

"When standing on it's hind paws you probably  will stand eye level,or slightly taller than that species of bear."

"Say shouldn't we camp?"

"Not tonight the horses are going strong and nights are really warm at this time of year and unlike you my eyes are preferred and adjusted to the night as well as Darkshadow so if you want to sleep just throw me a rope so I can secure your horse to Darkshadow then you can sleep while ridding."

"I shall take you up on that offer,night."

*Drake tossed me a rope which I caught with ease and tied it loosely around Darkshadoes neck and the other part was loosely tied around his horses neck since we were on open plains and wouldn't reach marshland for a bit I could do this. Once we reached the marsh I have to put special boots on the horses and give Drake some specialty boots for walking through the soupy marsh Jinx and I were equipped  for this terrain seeing as we spent most I our time here as a playground of sorts I knew this kind of terrain,well and knew what to do and not to do.*
