Chapter 38 Dark Elf

(Ivy's light form)

"So what now?"

*I looked up at Drake then looked down in thought.*

"There is a small chance that there is a way to get rid of the curse, but the thing is finding the people that are needed for it to work and getting them to agree to undo the curse which would get rid of your curse in turn."

"Then let's get started."

"It's not a easy as it sounds in order for this to work I will have to bring the compleat opposite together and nobody wants to see their other half."

*I felt my hair start to buzz as it went from ebony to a moon silver and my eyes turned a husky blue. My sharp teeth dulled down so only my canine teeth were pointed and my nails went from black to a seashell pink my dark wings turned to a flowy white like ghost wings. My ears remained pointed and my eyes became softer and far more gentle and less cold.*

"Not everybody can handle the truth of both of their personalities. Only some are divided equally between good and evil and or some have more good than evil or evil than good. In turn for those who are both, their personalities split. The challenge of finding both sides is even harder. My personalities never split since I was cursed so both of my sides have seen each other and use and find neutral territory to agree on. I know several sides of good and evil, however just like me they are assasins which are constantly on the move hiding their true self. That would be my dark Faye relative. I know where he was last seen, but that was over five years ago his light self is hidden in the mountains somewhere. My relative to my light nymph is in the marshes she isn't very talkative, but she is shy so I don't blame her. Her dark side isn't somebody I would like you to get close to. She isn't what I would say mentally stable...ehmmm any way my elf relative would be in these woods close to here he is my light and his dark side he had met before and they see each other at least once a year to find common ground. He won't be a problem to get on board since he already met his dark self. Only my nymph is what causes concern since my light she is far too pure and her dark is a cannible and a total suducer... She is the only one which causes concen for me. My Faye is an so, so matter his dark is tainted like me and his light is a hermit....so I can relay fairly well with them and it might be a shock, but nothing that they won't be ok with...I can bribe my dark Faye...then my light will be another story getting him out of his hut. My elf relatives will be an easy enough cause."

"What did I tell you about there being another way?"

"Look, there is only a five percent chance it will even work. There is no percentage higher than that five percent chance seeing as when I died I don't die that one hundred percent chance just went down that drain."

"Don't talk about death so lightly, it is a very upsetting matter."

*Drakes grip on me tightened as if saying he wouldn't ever let me go again, which I didn't doubt he would.*

"How close are we to the elves?"

"About five miles from here, on Darkshadow only five minutes."

*Darkshadow bent down, but not before bump pin his head against my small hand. In turn I stroked his nose am she lightly nipped my fingertips.*

"Come on Jinx you don't want to be left behind do you?"

*Jinx looked up at me her eyes were devoured of emotion as she slowly registered me her eyes lit up and she came bounding towards me knocking me down. She began to rub her head underneath my chin and purred.*

"Sorry, I shouldn't have done what I did."

*Jinx nipped my finger drawing blood as in saying 'you sure as hell shouldn't have' then she jumped up onto Darkshadow positioning herself towards his flank. Drake gave me his hand so as to pull me up. He positioned me in front of him a she leaned forward to grab onto Darkshadow's mane an I twinned my hands together with his. Darkshadow took off heading towards the forest. It was dark and eerie and gave off a dark presence. My eyes flickered around as my eyes met deep black eyes.*

"What are you doing in my part of the forest creature of light?!"

*I let out a laugh at this and Darkshadow flicked his head up showing off his red horn.*

"I am no creature of light, old aquantaince. Right now I may be, but I am an Assasin ready for death at any moment."

"Ha! Likely cause you look far too pure for that!"

*I moved my moonlight hair away from the left side of my face showing off a dark black mark of a dragons head and a slitted eye where the dragons eye would be.*

"I see, my mistake, you are part of the family after all little cousin."

*A tall figure jumped down from the trees almost as tall as Darkshadow he was lean and worn a black elfin attire trimmed with white. His hair was ebony an his eyes were totally black and his skin had no tan muck like mine.*

"So let me guess you are trying to bring the family together to lift your curse?"

"Yes indeed."

"Well when I asked you this question ten years ago you declined. What made you change your mind? Actually no, I think I see the cause right here. You tainted him didn't you? Don't denye it either. I can see the black curse swirling through his veins slowly, but surely embedding itself in his system. So you must be a mutt if you haven't changed yet only mutts can withstand a tainting this long."

"Raja leave him be."

"As you wish little cousin. Why don't you get down from that gorgeous animal."

"But of course. So do you know where Rae is?"

*I asked this question as I slid down from Darkshadow.*

"Best guess would be helping some woodland creature. Makes me sick."

*Drake came up beside me as he whispered into my ear too low for Raja to hear.*

"I thought you said it would be easy to get them on board?"

"It is just a friendly family dispute."

"Relax mutt I might be a dark person, but I am not disagreeable."

"Would you stop calling me mutt!"

"Nope, mutt."
