Chapter 43 Impending Fear

*I lifted Drake up onto my shoulders and tried walking with his weight, it was a lot harder than I originally bargained for, he weighed a ton!*

"Mabye it would be better if I carried him."

"No Rae, I am feeding him some of my energy right now to help him get movement back."

"Ivy-"

"Look, I know perfectly well what feeding another being does to ones health."

"Then, why?"

"I got him into this mess so he is my responsibility."

"Yes, but..."

"Leave her alone, she wont budge."

"What would you know faye she is a lot like me. Ones her mind is set it wont be persuaded any other way. That is simply the mind set of an assassin so it is always best to stay on an assassins good side cause they can be your most loyal ally or your worst nightmare."

*I began to move with Drake shifting his weight around as I walked, finally we made it out of the town I gave a whistle and Darkshadow and the unicorn mares as well as Jinx on the back of one of the mares came running. Darkshadow gave a bow down for me while I put Drake on then I jumped on behind him to keep him stable. Rae mounted another mare while Raja turned to dark smoke to shadow travel then there was Anubis. He remained still watching us then he put his fingers to his mouth blew and a winged horse came down from the sky. The horse was a dappled black and white. It came to a trotting stop next to Anubis and he mounted the horse.*

"I have my own companion since I am a faye I am staying with the air."

"Ok, I guess that problem is solved. We need to get a move on it. Drake has tops another twenty three hours before heaven and hell knows what happens to him."

"Agreed."

*Darkshadow took off at a canter, while I focused in keeping Drake upright. About an hour or two into the ride Drake began to stir again. I released my manna flow. It was a good thing because I was getting quiet fatigued and bead of sweat were forming.*

"Glade you are awake."

"What happened while I was out? Did you find go you needed to?"

"I did, he is currently on a Pegasus above us."

"Why do you look so sweaty and fatigued?"

"I just got a bit warm, no big deal."

"You ok?"

"Yeah, I am fine."

*My eyes scanned the mountains that were were now coming up upon, I could feel the bitting chill from the mountains and a fresh layer of snow was upon the ground.*

"It's pretty chilly Ivy, you sure you are ok?"

"Positive."

*I scanned the mountain seeing a very steep path that was narrow, too narrow for horses, Jinx could manage as well as everybody else, but it was iffy if you fell you were dead it was so high up.*

"Let me take the lead Ivy, I can scope out a decent path on this dangerous terrain."

*I gave a nod to Raja and he began to scale the mountain like a pro. I grabbed onto the side of the mountain and found it quiet hard to grip. I took my shoes off then was able to have more grip.*

"Ivy your going to cut your feet up!"

"Hush it and either climb or stay with the horses, Drake!"

*I began to move faster up the mountain, one of my few fears was really high objects mostly man made, but mountains with ice were a close second. I moved quickly. I could feel my hands getting sweaty as I moved more. I ignored my fatigue as I moved to prevent my fall.*

"You don't look so swift Ivy."

"Mind our own climb Rae."

*Rae gave me a disapproving look then continued him climb. I was about halfway up when my vision got blurred. Oiiii his isn't going to end very well... No, no just keep climbing don't focus on he climb, you are almost there, despite your hands no longer having any feeling...and inevitable death if you slip and....the impending doom called nausea...*

"Ivy, Ivy,Ivy!!"

"Y..yeah?"

"You haven't moved for five minutes you doing ok?"

"Yes?"

"You don't sound so sure...are you afraid of heights?"

"No! Don't be ridiculous!!!"

*I moved my sweaty hand now iced over up to the next ledge.*

"It's ok to have a fear you know."

"Assassins don't have fears!"

*Anubis looked down at me and gave a snicker.*

"Ohh no, mone cheeri we do, we just don't let it control us. Your fear is heights I take it."

"No, just man made buildings a close second is iced over mountains...."

"You will be fine, just keep climbing I have your back if you slip I won't let you fall."

"If you slip our best chance is grabbing her foot cause she had. A death grip on the mountain."

*Drakes hot Anubis a deadly look and I took a deep breath and began my climb again.*
