Part 28: Cinder

Ding Dong Ding Dong, I just killed off Levana. It just had to be done. This part plans on being the last one, but there will be a third that's like the epilogue of some sorts. Enjoy this part!

Her aunt just die right before her eyes and she has little sympathy for her. Cinder now understands things clearly. Thanks to Thorne, Levana isn't a problem anymore. She is just a corpse in a room. Cinder started pacing because she realized that she's gonna have to figure something out. Does she even want to take over Luna? What will she do if she doesn't? Who will take over instead of her?

      She sent a D-COMM message to the ship saying for them to land it and have Winter join her in the palace. She waited and waited for Winter to come, but after about twenty minutes of waiting, Winter entered the throne room. Winter was telling her, "Did you know that Levana planned to kill you in the front of the palace in front of cameras? You should do something about that."

     "Um, well, Hmm. I have to figure out what to do now that Levana is dead," Cinder said.

    Winter glanced at the throne and saw Levana's corpse. Then she saw the bleeding wall. Finally, Winter asked"Who killed her?"

     "Thorne killed her and now I have to figure out what to do. I needed to ask you about something. Do you want to rule Luna instead of me?" Cinder asked.

     Winter took a moment to think before she said, "Well I do know how things work around here, and I am Levana's heir, unfortunately. I have great ideas of how to fix Luna to not have Earthens fear us. Why not." Winter then pulled Cinder into a hug and Cinder wrapped her arms around her as if she needed it. They then released from each other's embrace and started walking to the front of the palace holding hands. Eventually everyone else got the message and started to follow Winter and Cinder.

    Once faced by an audience of hundreds of cameras, reporters and citizens of Artemisia. A man started walking with two microphones for Cinder and Winter, but Cinder met him halfway to save him the trouble. She took the microphones from him and walked back to join Winter. She then started, "People of Luna, a lot of you expected the queen to have me and my accomplice, Carswell Thorne, to have been killed before you, or so that's what I've been informed of. Unfortunately, the queen is dead instead of us in hopes of making some peace with Luna and Earth without an unwanted marriage alliance or another World War. The queen was actually killed by my accomplice, but for these intentions."

    "And I, Princess Winter Hayle-Blackburn, wish to pardon Carswell Thorne, Selene, and their friends of crimes against the crown. Their crimes were against the queen instead of Luna. Then again, I here by announce that I'm the one who will rule over Luna instead of Selene. Selene knows that she's the rightful heir, but wishes not to rule for the fact that she's been away from Luna all her life thanks to Levana," Winter announced.

   "Yet, I believe that if my friends and I are ever need on Luna, Princess Winter will inform Emperor Kaito of the Eastern Commonwealth first I hope," Cinder said. Kai ended up being the closest to Cinder so he borrowed Cinder's microphone to confirm, "I wouldn't mind that, and yes I'm safe and alive." Then he handed Cinder her microphone back and gave her a kiss on the cheek before he stepped back.

    "Now if you'll excuse me my fellow lunars, I must send them home to Earth, but we shall mark this day as a day of celebration instead of mourning over Queen Levana. Once they've left, I shall burn her body and plan for my coronation," Winter said before she took Cinder's microphone and handed it to the same man that gave those to them. She then started walking back inside the palace with Cinder and everyone else following.

    They all walked through the halls together to follow Winter of where she had the ship parked. She stopped at where the lunar ships at the palace are normally stationed at because Winter thought it would be a great place to park the Rampion at the time.

    Wolf and Thorne walked inside and came out with Jacin's broken body. While they were doing that, Cinder was saying her goodbyes to Winter saying, "I will miss you this time, and I want you to let me know when you want me to be here. I'll be just a D-COMM away if you ever want to talk or something." Then Cinder gave her a hug.

    Winter closed the embraced and simply said, "I will because I'm gonna need friend to talk to for when my mind goes insane, but I would hope to also get some contact with Scarlet too."

   "I bet she'll like that, but I could let you go say your goodbyes to her too," Cinder offered.

    Winter refused, "I'll be fine with or without a goodbye from her now because I already did that before I met up with you in the throne room. And don't worry about the body of Levana, I'm going to keep my word when it comes to burning her body."

    "Good, but still, let's keep in touch," Cinder said.

    "You bet. Where are you going to go?" Winter asked.

    Cinder responded, "Probably to New Beijing with Kai. Besides, I'm pardoned on Luna, but not on Earth. With his help, I will easily be able to be exonerated for the things I've done on Earth."

   "Well, I hope that you do get pardoned for crimes on Earth. I should probably let you go now that Thorne and Wolf have handed Jacin over to three guards to take to the infirmary. I wish you well," Winter said before she walked away to  follow the guards caring Jacin. Cinder waved her hand goodbye before she got on the Rampion. 

    Once the Rampion went into space heading to Earth, Cinder cleaned herself up and went to find Kai. Once she found him, she wrapped her arms around his waist and her put his left arm over her. She then said, "Let's go home."
