Lunar Chronicles Fan-fiction 2 : The revolution

Part 20: Levana

Good morning, I realized that I have a serious case of allergies. Anyway, thanks to Fairest by Marissa Meyer, I'm going to try to add a Levana part to my fan fiction. Honestly, when it comes to this fanfiction, writing a Levana part would be the last I would every do, but it would benefit the story a little to not hear to protagonist side of the story all the time. Besides this might be a good one. Enjoy this antagonist part.

This must be a complete nightmare for Levana. This broadcast that that fugitive has sent out turn the minds of half of her citizens on Luna. Explaining her side of the story my ass she thought as if she would most importantly believe that Linh Cinder is her niece. 

Levana remembers that she was told that Selene died in the fire, and is gonna continue believing that. Though, when she saw Linh Cinder under that moon light after falling of the stairs that night, Levana was horrified by how powerful Linh Cinder's glamour was.

Nevertheless, she knows that Selene is dead, and that Linh Cinder should be dead. Problem is that she knows what Linh Cinder has done to Thaurmatrge (however you spell it) Sybil Mira and that Sybil died in her last encounter with the fugitive. Levana fears that if the fugitive is able to do that, then she is able to probably pull her little revolution off and do far far worse to Levana.

By far far worse, it most certainly has to do with those memories of when Channary forced her into the fire when they were immature children. She tried doing the same to Selene as her way of killing her, but apparently that child is alive, 16 years old, and is a cyborg. What am I doing, Levana thought, I'm starting to think that Linh Cinder could be Selene. STOP IT! getting her mind the facts that she has lived by for thirteen years now.

But if Selene is Linh Cinder, then she knows that she is totally screwed. She went to Thaurmaturge Aimery, her current head thaurmaturge after Sybil, and comanded, "Get the hacker to give me the hospital records of Linh Cinder from the New Beijing palace research center. All of them from the time she was there for here cyborg volunteering."

Thaurmaturge Aimery responded, "Yes, Your Majesty." Then he went off and exited the room. When he was gone (I assume that Aimery (if that's right) is a he instead of a she) Levana went to the the ruins of the nursery where she could relive those memories of that day when the fire happen. Her guards offer to rebuild it, but Levana refused and said to build a new nursery for toddler Princess Winter in a different room away from the old nursery.

Now thinking about Princess Winter, she feels a bit of disappointment that Linh Cinder kidnapped her betroth and her step-daughter. She has tried to be a good mother of Winter ever since Levana hired an ex-thaurmaturge to assassinate Evert, her first husband and Winter's birth father. 

Poor Levana and Winter to not have him around anymore, because Levana had to be open for her nine other marriages after Evert. Winter ended up growing up with multiple amount of step-fathers. What could be more awkward for Winter is if Levana's marriage with the Emperor of the Eastern Commonwealth had happen, Winter would have Emperor Kaito as her step-father, but she would also have a step-father that is the same age as her, which would be more awkward.

Linh Cinder was right about one thing in her broadcast, Levana would have killed Emperor Kaito sometime after she was crown Empress of the Eastern Commonwealth and after he would be crown King of Luna. She knew that she couldn't have him standing in the way of her dream to dominate and rule all of Earth and all of Luna. Unfortunately, thanks to that fugitive, she is still the ruler of Luna instead of the ruler of Luna and Earth. And for Linh Cinder's plan of revolution against Levana, Levana plans to be prepared for now and whenever chaos starts to happen on the streets, is when Levana will finally be prepared enough to be able to win this revolution and to hopefully also get everything her heart has desired for.

So Levana will just wait, but she will also make her preparations for what has yet to come soon. Make preparations on her defenses, which includes her guards and special operatives, and to prepare to finally have Linh Cinder blood coming out of her body and to die on lunar soil finally.
