Part 19: Cinder

I have been tired the whole day today. I was so tired that the only success I had when it came to sleeping in class was when I was sleeping in algebra. We were just taking a 3 question quiz and I was done with enough time to sleep. Anyway, I'm sort of better/glad that I'm awake enough to do this (write). Enjoy this part.

There is something about sleeping in the arms of another person that Cinder sort of enjoys about. These days later, more like since Kai came aboard the ship, between them, there has been nothing, but sleeping and spooning at the same time together. She has enjoyed being around Kai's company since they have made up after she kidnapped him from his wedding with her aunt.

She realized that this could end if something goes wrong in this revolution. She also realized that she hasn't even started the revolution that she has been planning on doing soon. Mostly because she was afraid that she couldn't quite handle the responsibilities she had to do during and after the revolution, whether she wins or loses. Hopefully, she wins, but that is very uncertain.

When she noticed that Kai was starting to awake, he asked her, "Are you awake?"

She responded, "Yes."

"What's wrong?" He asked.

"I'm gonna have to start this revolution I'm planning and I'm scared of starting it. I don't know how I'm gonna do this," She complained.

He said, "That's ok, you know. It's a scary process to go through. I don't blame you for not starting it soon."

She turned around on the bed so she could face him. Then she said, "I'm not even sure how I'm gonna handle someone on this ship ending up dead. I would like to win this, but I'm just uncertain about things I need to be aware of."

He understood what she meant. He understands that he doesn't even want to get married to Levana anytime soon. Cinder could tell, and she's gonna have to do something.

Cinder then got up and stepped out in the hallway where Kai followed her. Then she went to the cockpit and she saw that Cress was in there using the netscreens to see the latest news feeds. It said"

WHAT HAS BEEN GOING ON LATELY IS THAT IT IS TRUE THAT THE LUNAR FUGITIVE LINH CINDER IS ON LUNA. NOT ONLY HAS RECLAIMED HER CREW MEMBERS THAT WERE HELD HOSTAGE IN THE PALACE, BUT SHE HAS ALSO KIDNAPPED PRINCESS WINTER AND HAS SOME HOW CLAIMED TO THE ENTIRE MANUFACTURING DOME THAT SHE IS PRINCESS. PEOPLE KNOW THAT PRINCESS SELENE DIED A LONG TIME AGO, BUT OTHERS HAVE CLAIMED THAT SHE HAS SURVIVED THE FIRE IN HER NURSERY. IS LINH CINDER REALLY THE DAUGHTER OF OUR PREVIOUS QUEEN CHANNERY, MAY SHE REST IN PEACE, OR IS SHE SOME STUPID TEENAGE GIRL THAT SHOULD BE PUT INTO PUNISHMENT FOR ALL THE CRIMES SHE HAS DONE LATELY?

Honestly, this was the last thing Cinder needed right now. Lunars questioning her identity, her plans, and her as a person or a lunar. She still was gonna go through with the idea that she has planned. She turned to Cress, "Hey Cress, do you think you could make it to where I could make a video?"

Kai startled by this asked, "What are you think of doing, exactly?"

"Letting lunars know the truth about me. I need lunar allies besides Earthen allies," Cinder pointed out. Then Cress pulled up on the netscreen a reflection of her, Cinder, and Kai in the cockpit.

Cress then said, "I think it's a good idea, but you should let me know when I should start recording. To make it to where you can have be just you, sit in the pilot seat. Here I'll get up since I am in the pilot seat." She then got up and Cinder sat in the seat. Then Cinder made some adjustments, before she started recording. When she started recording, she gave a speech.

The speech started, "Hello people of Luna, yes I am the fugitive Linh Cinder recording this from my spaceship I just happen to take refuge of. Sure you lunars are aware of the things that I've done but I have my reasons for doing what I did. I kind of have an explanation for the things I've done and I'm not only going to share my said of the story, but I also going to she the things I've planned to do.

"The first thing I should explain is the night of the ball. I was actually the personal guest of Emperor Kaito and I didn't manipulate him to do that. I was there to warn him that him marrying Queen Levana was gonna cost his life. Next thing you know, I think you guys are aware of the things I did that nearly destroyed the ballroom that night. Next thing I should explain is me kidnapping the Emperor and crashing the wedding between him and Queen Levana. I did have help from my companions to sort of have success on that. I did kidnap him, but don't worry people, he's fine and in this room right now."

She then motioned for him to pop his head inside the video. He said, "Hello people, citizens, and lunars, I'm perfectly fine and alive."

Then he got out of the video, and Cinder continued, "See, he's alive and ok. I still have him, but I think he's ok with me now. Anyway, and also about Princess Winter and the crew members that were held hostage at the lunar palace in Artemisia (I think that's right) . They are alive and I think they're asleep as I know of right?"

Cress answered, "Yeah I think so."

"Anyway," she continued, "and Princess Winter did accompany me and the lunar special operative ex-soldier to go and get supplies for the ship and the crew. And I'm also very aware that you guys are questioning whether or not I'm the long lost lunar Princess Selene. Well I had a friend that I met back in New Beijing that found out that it is true, I am Princess Selene." She paused for a moment before she continued, "I know how shocking that is, and honestly I didn't find out until I was in my jail cell after I was arrested at the ball. You people might be wondering 'How did she survive the fire?' and that is a bit of a long explanation as well.

"You see, I was in the hospital after the fire and the doctors were able to save me by putting me inside of an animation chamber where I was able to sleep, recover, and grow until they found the right cyborg technology that would avoid me from using my lunar gift. The technology that they found that would meet those standards were invented by my adoptive father. They then decided, before I was adoptive, that I was to be going by the name I have now of Linh Cinder and that I should be remained hidden from Levana and Luna and anyone who wanted to kill me.

"Also, yes everyone on this spaceship I'm on by now knows and believes that I'm Princess Selene and are willing to help me out with my plans. Speaking of which, the reason why I'm exposing myself in this video is mainly the fact that it is the official first step for me to fulfill the revolution I'm planning on doing to reclaim the throne that is rightfully mind and not Levana's. I need lunar followers and supporters who are willing to help me out in anyway possible. I think I can get enough Earthen followers, but I've come to realizing that I need help from lunars. So if you are the kind of lunar that is against Levana and believes in Princess Selene, then help me out. Please help me out.

"Thank you for your time to watch my side of the story, I hope you could defend me. Good-bye," She ended the speech and to video. Then she asked Cress, "Is it possible to get this out to every portscreen and netscreen that is on Luna?"

Cress looked a bit shocked by Cinder's request. She responded, "I could try, but does that include the ones in the palace."

Cinder said, "Yes, I would like that tyrant to be aware of my side of the story too."

Kai accused her, "Are you insane? You want every lunar on Luna, including Levana, to know what you have said?"

"Yes," she said, "Is that a horrible idea?"

"To be honest, it sort of is, " He said.

"Well I understand why she did it. She needs lunars to follow her when she does this," Cress acknowledged.

Cinder agreed with what Cress said and had realized what she has done. She has finally started her revolution. When she got up from the pilot seat, and left the cockpit, she noticed that Kai followed her again, for some reason, and that Cress was starting to send the video to every lunar on Luna. Cinder felt some pride in her that made her able to say that she did it. She finally started her revolution.
