Part 27: Thorne

Thorne woke up to the fact that he's still holding hands with Cinder and to a guard yelling, "You two get the usual bread and water treatment as breakfast before your next interrogation with the queen in an hour. So eat up!"

      He sat up and started shaking Cinder and saying, "Wake up sleepy head and let go of my hand." She woke up with her eyes bursting horror inside as if she had a bad dream again. She then looked and her hand yanked it out of Thorne's. Thorne asked her, "Did you have a bad dream?"

       "The same recurring dream that happens to always haunted me since the day I was free from my unconsciousness," she said.

        "Which happens to be?" He asked.

         "Me inside a room on fire where I'm also on fire. At this point, it's no longer a bad dream, it's a memory from when I was three. No matter what though, it always scares me whenever I have it and I wish that it never had. Now in an hour, I'm going to face my aunt in a life or death situation," she was worried and terrified of what is yet to come. She happened to be so terrified that she crumbled into her little ball a and faced her head down wishing she could cry. 

        Thorne turned to the guards and said to them, "No need for the pathetic breakfast. I think we're both out of an appetite." Then one of the guards took away the dishes of bread away from each of their cells and carried them out.

        When it felt like an hour has gone by already, two guards opened their cells and forced them to get up so they could cuff them and take them to the throne room, forcefully. To Thorne, this happened to him once in prison, and that was his third day in the Commonwealth prison that he met Cinder in. 

       The guard dragged them through the main grand entrance of the throne room, but as they got closer the chairs they were suppose to sit in, Thorne recognized two of the guards. The one to his right was Kai, and the one to his left was Wolf. He made eye contact with Kai and mouthed, "What the hell are you guys doing here?"

       "Rescuing you and ending this revolution," Kai mouthed back.

        Thorne mouthed, "Are you crazy? You could die from this."

        Kai mouthed, "We made it this far."

       "Who else is here besides you and Wolf?" Thorne mouthed.

        "Iko and Cress," Kai mouthed. Thorne gave him a shocked face and was about to get pissed, but before he could mouth anything, the guard dragging him forced him to sit in a chair and have his hands still cuffed but also tied to the back of the chair and his legs tied to the front legs of the chair. 

        Thorne thought for a moment, I'm honestly ok with their insane plan if it sets me free, but they're fucking crazy. Aces! Then he took a glance at the queen and also thought, it would also be bittersweet if she ends up dead, too. Then he made himself look down as if he were bummed out about something, but he also gave a devious looking smile.

        Levana shortly entered the throne room through a side entrance. She took a moment to sit in her throne and settle herself before she began the interrogation. She started by asking, "I know how you lived and I kept that secret to be queen, but I also care that a few weeks ago you crashed my wedding and kidnapped my fiance. Why did you do it and what happened to him?"

        "I kidnapped him to protect him from making the biggest mistake of his life and to also protect him from you," Cinder paused for a moment to think, but footsteps started to make it's way towards them.

        "I'm alive and I'm glad she did it," Kai's voice said. Thorne lifted his head up and turned it around as best as he could. He saw Kai and Wolf pointing riffles at the queen.

        The dumb queen started to have joy in her eyes, "Your Majesty, what a pleasant surprise to see you in Luna. Could you please put the gun away from your fiance's beautiful face?"

         He raised the gun higher and said, "I'm not."

         "Your turning against me to protect some cyborg?" Levana accused him.

         "I'm betraying you for the woman I love. Someone that gives me pleasure rather than hatred in my eyes. Someone that isn't going to manipulate me and won't make me barf after I kiss her. I'm in love with Cinder, not you," Kai spat out. Thorne was starting to get bored after that, but then he heard Wolf yell, "Girls! Free our friends!" 

       Moments later Cress and Iko came running out as fast as they could with keys and knifes. Cress was in charged of untying Thorne, and Thorne was glad to see her again. He smiled and whispered, "I'm glad to see you again."

       "So am I," Cress said. She then got all the ropes off of Thorne and started uncuffing him. Once free from the cuffs, Thorne stood up and asked, "Hey, Wolf. Got something for me?"

        Cress gave him the pistol from her pocket and Wolf took a pistol from his left boot and throw it at Thorne. It was a perfect catch and Thorne was pleased to point two pistols at the queen. He started to be all cocky again and said, "You know, I was glad this happened. I also like to say, lady, the truth. Your thinking the exact opposite of what we think, like how you just want to take over the Earth by marrying and killing Kai, and how Cinder is the rightful heir to the throne instead of you. So quit be a pain in the ass and lets get real. You want the easy way or the hard way, bitch?" 

      Levana stood up from her throne and said, "Oh, I  love a good challenge. GUARDS!!!" All the guards moved from their formation to position themselves to where they could get a good shot, but just by looking around. Three of the guards in the room were pointing their guns at Levana instead of Thorne, Cress, Wolf (the stupid choice of someone they want to try to kill), Iko (the other stupid choice since she's an android), or Cinder. Thorne realize that Kai has the advantage of being still engaged to Levana and being the Emperor of the Eastern Commonwealth, which explains why he's also a stupid choice to point a gun to.

     Levana was moving her hand as if she was controlling a guard to kill Thorne first, but Cinder got the leverage of controlling three guards and Wolf. Wolf super jumped to beat up the guard Levana was controlling while Thorne and Kai shot at the guards against them that were not controlled by anyone. 

     Thorne then turned to Levana again with his gun and aimed for her. Levana tried to get someone to stop him, but it was to late. There was a bullet in her head and another one in her heart thanks to Kai. The evil queen is now dead.
