Lunar Chronicles Fan-fiction 2 : The revolution

Part 18: Winter

I'm gonna keep my talking part short and sweet. Please enjoy this next part, it might get interesting.

This has so far been nice for Winter. Better a palace that has a throne that freezes her body, or blood on the walls. It is nice for her to be able to even sleep without nightmares for once.

Instead of dreaming something horrifying as some sort of demon thing trying to kill her, more like she's running on a meadow of flowers on earth. Since she was a kid, she has been fascinated with Earth. Whenever her stepmother had to go on one of her many business trips to Earth, Winter tried asking her is she cold accompany her, but Levana always refused and said "You need to take care of Luna in my absents, Winter."

Winter has learn her lesson well enough to not ask again whenever Levana is planning those kind of trips. She always dreamed of going to Earth sometimes though. She know that she was named after a season on the planet. She doesn't quite know when it happens or what the temperatures are like in winter (the season). She was told that winter is a cold time of the year on Earth depending where you live.

Anyway, she woke up after the door of the room was opened. The person going through the door seemed to be a man, but she didn't know who. She tried to grab something she could use to defend herself, but it was to dark. Then the man said, "Don't worry, I just wanna talk."

Winter request, "Could you turn on the light then? It's a bit dark to see your face."

He did what she asked and turned on the lights in the room. When the lights came on, she noticed that it was Wolf in the room with her. She didn't know what he was doing in there, but then she looked do to see if she was appropriately dress. Thank the stars she thought because she was still in the same dress that she was in earlier.

Then she asked him, "What do you want?"

"I want to thank you for a lot of things. I want to thank you for taking care of Scarlet, for helping us, the crew, and for what you did on Luna. You were helpful to us since you came on the ship, and it is my honor on behalf of everyone on the ship to thank you," He said.

She never though she was that helpful to them. She really adores some of the people on the crew, but she never though of this was going to happen. She was a little speechless because of this. She never had this intentions when she came aboard the ship. When she finally got the words, she responded, "Your very welcome. I did my best to help out because this is the longest I've been outside of the palace in a long time."

"Really?" He asked.

"Well the longest I've been outside the palace without and escort guard following me around, yes."

Just thinking about it, it's pleasant for Winter to be on this ship. She does know that soon that there is gonna be a war between Levana and Selene, but for now it's nice. Like she realized when she first came on the ship, there are no blood on the wall.

Then he said, "Well that's all I wanted to say. I'll let you get back to sleep." He then turned to lights off again and exited the room. After he left, Winter went back to sleep in a place that's more like a dream and less like a nightmare.
