JADE:
He smiles.
"You answered a question with a question. Smart."
I'm taken aback by him.
"Err...." I trail off unsure of what else to say.
"I'm Jong-hyun."
"Jade." I reply instantly feeling the need to at least give my name.
Wait. I told him my name... in front of Jayden.
Way to go genius!
I sneak a glance at Jayden only to see he's not paying attention. His mind elsewhere.
I sigh and smile. He doesn't know... not yet and being honest I don't want him to know any time soon.
Jonghyun sends me an amused look.
"Jade..." he whispers trailing off making my eyes widen. He's going to give me away.
"It's okay I won't tell him. You're lucky he wasn't paying attention." Jonghyun saysI got to give it to him: he is one perceptive dude.
"Paying attention to what?" Jayden asks turning to us.
"Nothing. Just the drool coming out of your mouth. Dude! What are you thinking?" Jonghyun replies
Jayden feels the side of his lip having fallen for it.
"Very funny(!)" he dead pans while I try to supress my chuckle.Jonghyun then seems to remember something.
"Oh. I didn't hurt you too much earlier, did I Baby?" emphasising 'baby' in an attempt to irritate Kris.
"Shouldn't it be me asking you that?" Kris replies dryly.
"Tomayto, Tomato." he waves off
"Idiot." Kris sighs irritable however this close to him you can the ghost of a smile hovering on his lips."So, how come I didn't know about our latest edition?" Jonghyun genuinely questions.
Isaac starts to laugh. This sets off Jayden and Kris making my face flame in embarrassment as Jonghyun raising an expectant eyebrow.
The guys explain how I became the supposed 'latest edition' and as they neared the part of me tackling Sheya I realise that I completely forgot about Krystal!I stand up making the chair screech against the wood panelled floor. It's a good thing it's made of wood and not linoleum other wise it would have been ten times louder. The guys send me inquisitive looks and I laugh nervous as the rest of the student population turn their intimidating gazes to me... once again I have managed to gain unwanted attention.
"I forgot about Krystal. I'll be right back." I mumble and hurry off towards one of the exits which I think lead to the toilets.
----------------
I wander around trying to work out how on earth I ended up in this place. I clearly have no idea where I am and I don't even know the way back to the dining hall. They really need to put more signs around this place.
Since the hallway I am currently in is deserted out of impulse I put in my head phones selecting a random song and start to dance. I'm not going to lie, I am not great at dancing but I'm not too bad either.
Selena Gomez 'Same Old Love' plays and I laugh swaying and miming to the song. I twirl and laugh and moving in time with the beat.
I forget where I am and continue on in my own little bubble putting my all in to it.I lean on a door as part of my dance for a second only to have it open making me tumble back a little but I don't fall, laughing at the save I slide and continue on.
A loud cough pops my little bubble and I realise that someone is here.
Someone saw me dance like crazy, saw me mime.
Damn it Jade how are you supposed to live this one down?
I look up internally praying it's just my imagination but as usual it's not. In front me stands Sheya.
Great(!) Of all people it had to be her. The one who clearly dislikes me.
A cruel smile plays on her red painted lips as she holds her phone."Well look what we have here."
"Have what?" I reply. Might as well play dumb,
"Don't act, I have you dancing and falling like a spaz or is elephant a better description."
Her comment stings but I suppress the hurt and try to focus on my anger instead.
I can't have that video on her phone. I can't.
I keep a straight face.
'Don't show her that it effects you' I chant in my mind
"Why are you being so mean?"
I genuinely don't understand what her issue is.
"It's all your fault. Don't even think about taking my popularity or my Jayden." she growls
"Huh?"
I. Am. Confused. I have not even been here two days. What could I have possibly done to make her think any of that rubbish?
