JADE:
Jayden's calloused hand grips my wrist, tight, as he drags me away. Warmth making its way into me and spreading at the contact. My mind brimmed with questions fighting to be let out; I control myself however the amount of focus I put in not asking a question results in me bossing, scratch that, me attempting to boss him.
"We're going to the nurses office."
He lets out a loud laugh starting and ending so quick, so abrupt, I jump.
Before I manage to coax him into agreeing he deadpans a 'no' effectively silencing me.
I attempt to drag him anyway but of course it's not like I can take him. He pulls me back towards him having me, the klutz I am, stumble on the colourful floor of the gym. I right myself just before I crash into his washboard torso. That doesn't sound too bad to be perfectly honest but that's happened before and believe me, the impact actually hurts.
Then again I have a very low tolerance to pain.
"Jaydeeeen" I whine. As I am manhandled and lead towards the other exit.
Was it just me or did I hear the guys chuckle?
I must be going mad! Wait I think I already am.
"Where are we going?" I question, unable to keep my mouth shut... It's not like I can help it, talking a lot seems to run in my family. It usually got us into trouble; Gabbe was one of the loudest.
The cold biting at my cheeks pulls me away from what was the start of a conflicting trip down memory lane. I don't know if I should be thankful or irritated at the cold, not that its uncommon here; it is, after all, winter.
Did Jayden even answer me?
The main body of the school comes into view. Maybe I can drag him to the nurses office? It's not too far from here...
No point, He's to strong dodo!
My mind reminds me.
I walk beside him not bothering anymore. After all what is the point I may as well focus on trying to cheer him up?
He didn't look hurt at all during his fight... at least what I saw of it.
I welcome the warmth as we enter the very same hall I walked down with Jayden the day I arrived here. Come to think of it... I met him the exact same way... him pummelling Cain. I grit my teeth in attempt to stop the smile from slipping onto my face.
From the corner of my eye, Jayden sends me an amused smile. Probably wondering what the hell I am doing. I roll my eyes allowing the smile to escape. He chuckles to himself removing his grip on my wrist to push some hair away from his eyes. I feel air rush against my wrist at the loss of contact, cooling down the warmth that managed to accumulate there.
I find myself frowning at my wrist. I don't like the cold taking away the warmth.
Are you sure that's why?
My mind taunts before I silence it.
I find myself humming the beat of a random song that comes to mind. Suddenly, Jayden's hand smothers my mouth silencing me. I'm tempted to lick his hand so he thinks twice before shutting my up like that next time; he drags me back in haste.
What on Earth is wrong with this boy?! I have absolutely no idea what he's doing but I'm going to make him pay if he's doing this for some stupid reason... or for his own entertainment.
