The year was 1923; the Everstiens were at the top of their game. They were known across the states for their power and money. Most of all their beautiful only child.

Tia Everstiens was the only child in this well known family. She would soon need a husband in order to produce a heir.

An arranged marriage was decided. The Everstiens need to stay at the top and quick. They didn't have time for their daughter to find love. Another powerful family was catching up to them.

What the parents didn't know was that their daughter had already found love. His name was Jake Andrew.

Jake was a simple bartender at the hottest bar in town. Tia would always go there and they fell in love at first sight.

He wasn't what Tia's parents were looking for though. He was a nothing in this world of power struggle.

Tia as always the obedient child agreed to the marriage even though only 19. Once Tia met her fiancé she knew she could never love him.

Tia decided to elope with Jake. She snuck out to run away with him one night. When Tia arrived though at the garden she saw him murdered right in front of her. By her mother no less.

Tia's mother had heard rumors of this forbidden love and her suspicions were confirmed when she spied on them one night.

When Tia watched her beloved family murder her lover she lost it. Tia went mad; insane.

She screamed and wailed. Tia pulled at her hair and tears ran down her face.

Tia's mother could only stare in horror at her child; holding the knife dripping with blood of her daughter's lover.

Tia took the necklace that was around her neck and chocked herself to death. She couldn't stand the thought of her own family betraying and killing the one she loved with all her heart.

Though it says that the mother committed suicide with the same knife afterwards realizing what she had done.

The father soon disappeared and the mansion of the Everstiens was left abandoned.

Why abandoned? You see, the spirits of those three people who died that night were restless. They weren't satisfied with the way they lived.

If you ever go to that mansion you would go mad. For they are the ghost of madness and you will never leave alive.

"Ugh! Guys!" Melanie moaned. "I couldn't get any signatures!"

"What did you expect?" Hailey asked.

"A whole bunch of people! The story is so romantic! That place is a piece of history!" Melanie argued.

"Did you forget the death and the ghost of madness part?" David reminded sitting down at the table with his lunch.

"Well there has to be some people who want to keep the Everstiens' mansion alive! They can't just tear it down!" Melanie exclaimed.

"Yeah, they kind of can. Remember the permit and the mayor saying yes." David pointed out.

"It's a historical land mark!" Shouted Melanie.

"Melanie, you're calling attention to yourself." Hailey said.

"Good. Then they can come over and sign the petition to save the mansion." Melanie huffed.

"Hey guys! Sorry I'm late. Mr. Kendell was talking to me about math." Kelen panted.

He collapsed down into a chair and sat his lunch bag on the table.
