Halloween comes up sooner than expected and I find myself invited to go trick-or-treating with Nicole, Natalia, Jennifer, and Darcy. Nicole persuaded me to dress up, since everyone else was going to, and we coordinated costumes. I let her pick out the costumes and she chose the be Ariel so that makes me Prince Eric.
Nic informs me that I should get at her apartment at 5, dressed in my costume minus one thing that she has to go with it, and to just let myself in. She's told me that everyone else will be arriving at 5 or a little after and, if she and Nat are ready, we can leave to get our night started.
After I'm dressed in a white shirt sleeved button up, blue skinny jeans, and black combat boots that I just recently purchased, I grab my phone and keys then head out of the house. I hop into my car and start it before heading to Nicole's apartment.
I arrive at her apartment just a few minutes before five. I go up and let myself in, just as she said, to find her chasing Natalia, who's only in her diaper might I add, around the house. Nat goes to run by the door but I swoop her up in my arms.
"I was having fun." She pouts.
"Your mum seems to want to catch you, though." I note. "Why aren't you dressed in your Halloween costume, Nat? Don't you wanna go trick-or-treating?"
"Well, yeah." She replies. "I don't wanna take bath though."
"You gotta if you wanna go." I inform her to which she looks over to Nicole and reaches out to her.
"I take bath." Natalia says as Nicole takes her from me.
"Thanks, Harry." Nic says then kisses my cheek. "You look very cute, by the way."
"Oh, thank you." I reply. "I can't wait to see you in your costume."
"I'll be ready soon." She tells me before leaving me alone in the living room.
About fifteen minutes pass when Darcy enters. She's dressed in a Belle costume, the blue dress that Belle wore at the beginning of the movie. She's even gotten a brown wig on to match, since her hair is naturally blonde.
"Hi, Harry. How're you?" She asks me, taking a seat in a seat nearby.
"I'm good. How're you?"
"Lovely." She replies. "Is Nicole getting ready?"
"She was giving Nat a bath about fifteen minutes ago." I inform her. "She said she'd be ready soon though."
"She's probably about done getting Natalia ready." She notes. "I'm gonna go check." She gets up from her seat and walks to the bathroom, knocking on the door before disappearing behind it.
Just a few minutes after that, Natalia comes out dressed as a little Cinderella. She sends me a smile then walks over to me.
"You look so cute." I tell her, picking her up and sitting her in my lap.
"Thank you." She smiles towards me again. "Mommy is getting ready now and she's gonna be Ariel!"
"And I'm Prince Eric." I say.
"Yeah! You're Mommy's prince!" She giggles then adjusts the sleeve on her dress.
"I am." I chuckle. "And your Mommy is my princess."
"How cute." I hear someone say. When I turn to look, I see Jennifer has arrived, dressed in her Jasmine costume. "You really like Nicole, don't you?"
"I do." I nod.
"Well, you better not hurt her or I'll hurt you." She warns me, pointing a finger at me, before sitting down on the couch.
"I won't." I reply as she takes Nat and sits her in her lap.
After about twenty or so minutes more have passed, Nicole and Darcy come back out into the living room but Nicole is dressed in her Ariel costume this time, a red wig and big blue bow to match the dress.
"You guys go all out for your costumes." I note, causing them all to chuckle.
"Let me go get your red belt thing to finish your outfit." Nic says then goes into another room, coming out a few minutes later and tying a red scarf around the top of my jeans.
"Thanks, love." I tell her then kiss her cheek. "You look so cute."
"Thank you." She sends me a sweet smile before grasping my hand then turning to everyone else. "Now that everyone is here and ready, we can start trick-or-treating."
"Yay!" Nat cheers then everyone piles out of the apartment so we can begin our night.

We spend a few hours going to different places and getting Natalia's bag filled with candy. Eventually, though, the child falls asleep as we're driving to another place and we decide to go back to Nicole's apartment. Nicole carries Natalia up to the apartment as Darcy, Jen, and myself trail behind her. Once inside, Nicole carries Natalia to her bedroom as everyone else sits down.
"Someone's gonna have to scooch." Nicole informs us once she's back. I glance over to the other two girls to see they've piled on the couch beside me, having taken off the wigs that they were wearing.
"Why don't you sit in his lap?" Jennifer jokes with her.
"Ha." Nicole fake laughs then flips Jennifer off, causing Jen to laugh.
"Come sit in my lap, love." I say then pat my legs as an invite.
"Oh, look, you gave him an idea." Nicole glares at Jennifer, who laughs yet again. But, reluctantly, Nicole comes over to the couch and sits sideways in my lap. She wraps her arms around my shoulders as I wrap mine around her waist.
"You guys are too cute." Darcy tells us.
"Shhh." Nicole says, her face changing from pale to dark red. "Turn the TV on, let's watch something."
"Okay." Darcy chuckles then does as Nicole says. Nicole gives me a quick peck on the lips, causing me to grin widely, before turning her attention to the television and watching it.
I think I could enjoy spending a long time like this; with her in my lap and our arms wrapped around each other. I'm loving this way more than I should or ever thought I would.
