Being curious was truly an understatement.

Earlier, Nicole sent me a text, asking if we could talk when she got off work. Of course, I told her yes. But I'm curious yet scared to know what exactly she's wanting to talk about. The worse things pop in my mind as I continue to think on the subject and I don't have much to distract me since Jennifer is babysitting Natalia today.

Trying to watch TV to distract me? Doesn't work.

Trying to listen to music? Doesn't work.

Trying to finish some songs to turn in to work? Doesn't work.

I'm afraid that she wants to talk about us and that she doesn't want to see me anymore. I like Nicole. A lot. More than I ever intended to.

I think it's partly her fault and partly mine that I'm liking her so much; her fault for being so breathtaking, eye catching, and like-able, mine for easily liking and enjoying someone.

I'm going to go insane if I don't find out what she wants to talk about soon. I can't think of any good outcomes, only bad.

Okay, I think it's time I got out of the house. Maybe that'll clear my mind.

I get up from my spot on the couch, which I'm sure has sunken in as much as I sit and think, then slip on some shoes plus a jacket before exiting the house and locking the door behind me. I decide on taking a walk, beginning up the empty street.

It's well into Autumn now, few leaves on the trees with most of them on the ground being a brown color. The November air chills me to the bone as the wind whirls around me. I hug my coat closer to my body, attempting to keep warm as I walk onto a busy street of town. I walk past several different people as they're stopping to talk to a friend or loved one, making my way to the end so I can cross the street. I wait patiently for the cars to pass after I've pressed the button on the pole that's here. As it signals for myself and the other pedestrians to walk, I hear Nicole's familiar voice call out to me. I spin around to catch her run up to me, stopping once she's seen I've stopped.

"I thought you were working." I say, furrowing my eyebrows in confusion.

"I just got off and you caught my eye while I was headed to my car." She replies, tucking some hair behind her ear before placing both of her hands in the pocket of my hoodie that I had given her a while back. "I had to park way up here because there were no spots near the store."

"Oh, okay." I nod, understanding. "What was it you wanted to talk about?"

"It was more a question then wanting to talk, really." She replies. "Do you mind if we walk and talk?"

"Of course not, let's go." I nod again before we cross the street together.

"So, uh..." She begins, seeming nervous. "I was talking to my mom and I mentioned you. She got really excited that I was finally seeing someone, you know? She went on about it for a while until she asked me to invite you to our family's Thanksgiving."

"Oh, so, you wanted to ask if I would attend dinner with you?" I inquire.

"Yes." She nods. "If you have plans with your own family then they'll understand and they can always meet you another time."

"Nic, I'd love to go and meet your family." I respond. "I'm sure they're lovely."

"They're crazy." She mumbles. "Moma will be thrilled though. I'll tell her later."

"Okay." I say. "You really had me worried."

"About what?" She asks.

"About this conversation. I thought it was gonna be something serious." I inform her.

"I'd warn you if it were something serious." She says, smiling slightly. "What'd you think I was gonna say?"

"I thought it was gonna be about us." I reply honestly. "Maybe you weren't happy anymore or something like that."

"You've made me the happiest I've been in a long time, Harry. I won't be saying anything along those lines unless you fuck up majorly." She tells me.

"I'm glad I make you so happy." I smile towards her before pulling her out of everyone's way of walking and kissing her cheek. "You make my happy, too, in a time when I need it most."

"You're so cute." She giggles then leans up and pecks my lips softly. When I go to say something else, she stops me by saying something. "Harry, we stopped in front of a pet store! Let's go inside!" Her eyes light up and fill with excitement as her lips turn up into a large grin as she looks at the store behind me. She's as excited as a little kid would be but it's extremely adorable.

I smile at how cute she looks right now. "Let's go then." She leads the way inside the store, beginning to look by going over to the bunnies.

"I think Nat would love one of these." Nicole says, pointing to a rabbit. "But when she's older, you know?"

"I'm sure Natalia would love one." I reply, looking at the small animals with her. They move and hop around, interacting with one another and twitching their little noses. They're very cute and Natalia would get a kick out of watching them hop around all the time. I'd love to see her reaction when she finally does get one.

"Let's go look at the fishes." Nicole grabs my hand and leads me over to the aquariums with many different fish in them.

"There are so many." I note, looking around and watching them swim as Nicole does.

"One day, we should go to the aquarium." She suggests, which gives me an idea as to what our next date can be. We can bring Natalia and possibly invite a few other friends along as well.

"We definitely should."

Hi! Here's an update (finally)!

Where do you think their next date will be? It's pretty obvious xD

Any questions or thoughts?

All the love x
