Having my phone wake me up isn't the best way to start my morning. I ignore the call, keeping my eyes shut until the continued ringing ceases but only to have it jolt me back awake just a few seconds later. I groan and grab my phone, not ready to talk to whoever is calling me. I grab my phone and unhook it from its charger, looking to see that Nicole is the one calling me. I quickly answer, thinking it may be an emergency.

"Hello?" I answer, my morning voice greeting her.

"Oh, hey. I woke you, didn't I?" She inquires. "I'm so sorry."

"No, no, it's fine." I reply, shaking my head. "Is something wrong?"

"No, not at all." She says. "I need your help with something, though, if you don't mind."

"Anything."

"Do you think you can take Natalia somewhere for a couple hours or something?" She asks. "I'm throwing her a birthday party but I want it to be a surprise for her."

"You do realize that the child is 2, right?" I chuckle.

"She turns 2 today, Harold." She points out. "I threw her a surprise party for her first birthday and she absolutely loved it. But she slept a lot longer when she was 1 than she does now."

"I see." I note. "Let me get ready then you can give me directions so I can pick her up."

"Thank you so, so, so much." She tells me.

"And I expect a kiss when I get there." I joke as I climb out of bed.

"I'm sure Nat will give you a kiss." She's obviously trying not to laugh but isn't working as small laughs escape her. "I wouldn't trust my directions if I were you, by the way."

"You can text me the directions and, if I can't find your place, I'll just ask you for the address and put it in my GPS." I say. "Easy peasy, lemon squeezey."

"Whatever you say, Mr. EasyPeasy." She laughs again, causing a huge grin to spread across my face. "I'll see you in a little while."

"I'll see you soon, love."

Nicole's directions weren't as hard to follow as she made it out to be and I make it to her apartment building within 15 minutes. I go up to the apartment number she told me and knock, waiting patiently on someone to open the door. I look around at the scenery, rocking on my heels as I stuff my hands into my jeans pockets. When the door creaks open, I see Nicole standing there, clad in black skinny jeans with a black undershirt and a red flannel acting as a jacket, with Natalia on her hip.

"Harry!" Natalia giggles, her blue and green polka dot dress looking extremely cute on her, along with a pair of blue flats that go along with the dress. "Mommy says I go with you!"

"That's right." I chuckle. "We're gonna go have some fun together."

"Yay!" Natalia cheers then gets set down on the floor by Nicole.

"Come in, Harry. I've gotta go get her diaper bag." Nicole chuckles, gesturing for me to come in. I nod, following her inside so she can shut the door. As she walks towards a closed door, I note the tightness of her jeans and am so grateful that she isn't going out anywhere because, admittedly, her ass looking amazing in those pants. Of course, I've noticed she's got a nice butt before but I didn't think it would be so noticeable in skinny jeans like that.

She comes back to the main room where Natalia and I are, handing me the diaper bag. I put it on my shoulder as she picks Nat back up, giving her a big hug and a kiss on the cheek.

"You have fun with Harry, okay?" Nicole tells her. "Mommy loves you bunches."

"Nat loves you bunches, Mommy." Nat replies, pecking her mothers lips. "Me and Harry have fun!"

"You will." Nicole nods then hands her to me. I hold the child close to me then glance to Nicole sending her a warm smile. "Everything that you need is in her diaper bag and her car seat is beside the door."

"Okay, love. We'll be back in a little while." I tell her then give her a quick kiss on the lips before grabbing Nat's seat and exiting the apartment.

"I had fun, Harry!" Nat calls out to me from the backseat.

"I had fun, too." I chuckle. "Mommy says she misses you, though, so we've gotta get you home."

"I miss Mommy, too." She says.

"We're almost home, Nat." I tell her, pulling on the street that their apartment building is on.

Today, we had a blast. We went all around town and I let Natalia get a few things as my gift to her, since I didn't know that it was her birthday so I couldn't get her anything. She loved every bit of the few hours that we spent together today and I'm so glad that she had such a great time.

Once we get up to their apartment, I knock on the door a few times then announce that it's me bringing Natalia home, just as Nicole told me to over text.

I turn the door knob and push the door open, cutting the lights on that we're turned off. Quite a bit of people jump up and yell "Surprise!" scaring not only Natalia but me as well.

"Surprise what?" Natalia giggles as I sit her down on the floor.

"It's your birthday today!" Nicole tells her. "You're turning 2 today."

"Oh, yay!" Nat smiles and cheers as Nicole picks her up, giving her a big hug. "I like my birthday!"

"I like your birthday, too." Nicole chuckles then hands the child to Jennifer. "Let's go get the birthday girl some birthday cake!" Everyone cheers then begins to pile into the kitchen as Nicole walks over to me.

"Thank you for watching her." Nicole leans up and kisses my cheek.

"My pleasure."
