Last night, I went to dinner with Harry at his mom's house. It went a lot smoother than I thought it would but Kelly continuously got brought up into the conversation and they compared me to her. More than I would've liked. I've seen and met Kelly twice. Both times she was being the biggest bitch. I would rather not be compared to someone like her, especially since I don't even know the story of what happened between her and Harry. And it doesn't help that they compare us when I already feel like I don't really deserve Harry. Harry is, by far, one of the best things to happen to me. He and Kelly have history so what's to say he doesn't go back to her at any time?

"Mommy, someone's at a'door!" Natalia runs up to me and tugs on my pants leg.

"It's probably Jen or Darcy." I mumble, more to myself, as I pick her up and walk to the front door. Opening it, I see Harry standing there.

"Hi." He says, grinning towards the both of us.

"Oh, hey. Come in." I tell him. He walks in so I close the door then sit Nat down. "What brings you here so early in the morning?" I ask him.

"I just wanted to come check up on you." He admits as he sits down on the couch. "You didn't seem like yourself when I dropped you off last night."

"Oh." I bite my bottom lip out of nervousness. "I'm fine, Harry. Nothing's wrong."

"I'm not sure that I believe you, Nic." He replies. "Did something happen last night?" I let out a defeated sigh then glance over to Nat.

"Natalia, go play. Harry and I need to talk." I say. She nods then goes out of earshot.

"So, what is it?"

"Look, it's just..." I begin, sitting down beside him. "I was being compared to Kelly a lot last night and it made me upset. That's all it was."

"What's wrong with being compared to Kelly?" He questions, furrowing his eyebrows in confusion and pouting his lips.

"Both times that I've talked to her, she was being nothing but a bitch to you. I would rather not be compared to someone like that." I explain, giving him the half truth about it. "You remember. She was absolutely horrible."

"What do you want me to do? Call my mum and tell her to stop comparing Kelly to you? I can't control my mum, Nicole." He says, being extremely defensive. "And Kelly's just sensitive when it comes to other girls talking to me." He shrugs like its nothing.

"Harry, she isn't your girlfriend anymore." I remind him. "Why're you defending her?"

"I'm not defending her. I'm just stating the obvious." He says, shrugging again. "Why do you have a problem with her anyway?"

"Because she's always been a bitch, like I just said." I tell him. "She's hurt you, obviously, and I don't want to be compared to someone like that who's hurt you." I reach over and grasp his hand but he immediately yanks his away.

"Kelly isn't a bitch." He mutters rather coldly. "She's the only girl to love and care for me wholeheartedly. Sure, she did me wrong, but that doesn't mean that she isn't a good person. Stop calling her names."

"I call it how I see it." I snap. "A good person wouldn't treat someone the way she was treating you. She was acting like you were her property and you're definitely not."

"She was mine and I was hers. That's just how it worked. But I guess you wouldn't understand that since you've never been in an actual committed relationship." He snaps back, catching me off guard.

"Wow, okay then." I say, looking away from him.

"I'm sorry, Nicole, I just-"

"Stop." I interrupt him.

"You aren't even going to let me finish." He states.

"No, I'm not." I reply.

"How childish." He remarks.

"Harry, can you just go? We're just arguing and you obviously don't care if your words hurt with the remarks your making." I tell him. "Go home and think about some things then, maybe we can talk like adults."

"Nicole, I'm sorry."

"Whatever. Just go." I say, rolling my eyes. He sighs then gets up and exits the apartment, leaving Natalia and I alone.

After a while of silence with Natalia, I called Darcy and Jennifer to come over so I could explain the entire situation to them. Of course I was going to call them, they're my best friends and I tell them everything.

"What do you think I should do?" I ask the both of them, since they've been contemplating over the situation for a good ten minutes now.

"It sounds like Harry is really sensitive towards this Kelly person." Darcy notes.

"Yeah." Jennifer agrees, nodding. "You two need to sit down and have an adult conversation about this little fight."

"But when?" I ask, taking a sip of my tea that I prepared before they got here so we could have something to drink.

"Give it a few days, definitely." Darcy replies.

"Unless he comes to you apologizing first then go to him in a few days." Jennifer adds. "You obviously care for him a lot or you wouldn't be moping and worrying about any of this."

"I care for him a lot more than I thought I would." I tell them.

"You do act different with him than you do with any other guy that you've liked." Darcy replies. "Why is that?"

"I don't even know." I shrug, blushing furiously. "To be honest with you guys, I'm really scared about getting really close and attached to him. He could just leave me at any time on any day and I know that I'll be heartbroken when that happens if I continue to get closer to him."

"Nic, don't let a fear like that control you." Jennifer intervenes. "You could fall in love with Harry. You don't want a fear to come in the way of that."

"I could also fall in love with Harry and he could break my heart." I add. "What if that happens?"

"Then, you had something amazing and it was beautiful while it lasted." Darcy replies. "Don't let your fears come in the way of you having the chance to fall in love."

"I'll try not to, you guys. But I'm not promising anything."

Here's 12. I really hope you enjoyed Nicole's POV. It's back to Harry's POV in the next chapter xD unless you guys like Nicole's POV, then I can do her POV for one or two more chapters :)
