The drive to the restaurant didn't took as long she hoped for. She sat on the seat beside him and adjusted the laptop and folders in her lap. Anna took a glimps to the man beside her and he was grinning. The look on his face made her scared. She fixed her gaze back to the side window. Streetlamps passed by like posts in a hurry and there wasn't much people or traffic. They didn't exchange words the whole way and when he parked his car infront of the Italian restaurant, he spoke: "We're here!" Cutting of the engine and opening the door, James slipped out and walked around the car to open the door for her.
She collected her stuff and stepped out. "Thank you!" She thanked him and walked up to the front door. He didn't fall back very much. His hands almost touching her against her back, he guided her throw the door of the restaurant. A young blond woman in dark navy blue dress welcomed them on the door. "Table for two," he said, adressing the blond who now was oggling him with her eyes hungry for him. James noticed it and felt tension building in the room. Everybody else sitting in the restaurant turned their eyes at them. He was famous and everywhere he went, people had intrest in him.
The blond directed them to a table far away from the front door. A round table covered with a neat white sheet and plates set on it. A vase with red and white roses inserted in it stood high in the middle and a candle was lighted next to it. It seemed more like a romantic date than an interview. "Please!" he said, pulling a chair away from the table and helped her to sit down. He had been quiet the whole way and there wasn't much words coming out from his mouth as they sat down at the table. "Thank you!" Anastasia answered moving away the plate in front of her and setting her laptop down.
She opened it and typed in her password to log in. James sat across her and said nothing. Nothing so far, but he had thoughts running throw his mind that included some dirty ones. "You are quiet!" She said, taking up her folders and shuffling throw the papers. "Well, so far!" he said, letting out a small laugh and looked up for a waiter in the room. He nodded at him and he approched their table. "Can I take your order," he asked, looking down at Anna and then back to James. "Wine?" he asked Anna and she nodded politly. The waiter left and Anna turned her gaze back at him. He sat across her, his hands crossed on his chest, leaning against the back of the chair. His eyes were blastered on her and that made her squirm on her chair.
"Ready?" she asked.
"Always," he answered, leaning in, his elbows supporting his weight on the table.
The waiter returned with a bottle on white wine and poured a glass for both of them. He grabbed his glass and poured almost half into his mouth.
"First question. When did you realized that you wanted to be an actor?" her eyes fixed on his collar, that showed off a glimps of an tattoo on his neck.
"I think when I finished college. I studied engeneering and didn't find a job after graduating. The economics was sinking and I had nothing more to do then start looking for any other ways to find a job." he answered, taking another gulp of his wine.
"So you started modelling?" she continiued, taking few clances around them, to see if anybody was listening what they were talking about.
"Heh," he let out a small laugh, "somebody has done his homework?" He leaned in more, arrogant face painted on him, eating her with his eyes. She swallowed. "Yes. I never do an interview before doing some work advance!" she replied.
"Well, yeah, my friend from college already was working for an agency and he helped me find a job. It paid well and soon people started asking me, if I would like to do some acting. First, there was some short movies and plays, but soon after a producer from LA production office called my manager and offered me a job in a romantic comedy." he layed back into his chair and almost whispered the words. He started to notice that people looked at him more intenslly and he thought that it wasn't such a good idea to do the interview here. People were listening every word he spoke and he suddenlly felt discomfort.
"Good for you!" she said, mentioning the first movie name he had a part in. This was the first movie she had seen with him playing the main role. She looked for another question from the page, but James stopped her. "I think it isn't such a good idea to have the interview here. If you haven't noticed people are looking at us and listening every word I say!" He said, moving his chair back and standing up. He nodded to the waiter and gave him the money for their drinks. "But why did you even bring me here them?" she asked, saving her work in her computer and closing the lid.
"I thought that it would be nice to take you out!" he smirked, his lips twirling, helping her up. "I think we should go into my place. Its quiet there and we can continiue there!" Nice try, Anastasia thought. Taking her back into his place, not a chance. She had a better place in mind, a place where they wouldn't be alone and where they can sit without people earsdropping on them. She also didn't want people listening over them. The interview was exclusive and would appear in the newspaper, so she took her things and walked ahead of him out from the door.
"I know a better place we can go!" she turned to him, closing the hems of her jacket and shoved a stand of hair behind her ear. "Oh? Your place?" he asked, curious as hell. "No!" she replied, discarding the thought she thought that ran throw in his head. "My friend has a small diner not far from here! I think it's closed, but he still might be in there!" Anna replied, walking up to his car. "Ok", he pushed the button on his keys and the doors unlocked. They sat in and she directed him into the diner. For her luck, it hadn't closed yet and they stepped in.
"Anna!" a voice behind the counter welcomed her as she stepped in. "What are you doing up so late? Haven't you got more intresting things to do, than sit in my diner so late?" George asked, a wicked smile on his face as he counted the money before closing. "George. I need to use your diner for an interview. Is it ok?" she asked, stepping away so George could see the person standing behind her. "Of course. Take as long as you want, I will be at the back." George said, closing the registry and walked around them to lock the diner door and turned the sigh to show 'closed' toward the window.
As George walked away and closed the back door behind him, Anna walked up to a booth far away from the windows and James followed her close by. He placed his hand on her lower back, a change to touch her again. Hoping it would make her grave more of him. She didn't push his luck but also she didn't like that. She sat on the one side and James sat next to her. She turned her gaze at him and felt strained by him. "Can't you sit across me?" she asked, opening her laptop. "No, I want to see what you write about me!" he said, his face closer to hers, their shoulders touching. "You makeing me feel uncomfortable!" she said, typing in her password and opening the document folder on her destop. "Good!" He smirked, and leaned against the leather seat.
