Located in the west part of the city, Hadate sat a bench. Old conscription posters plastered on walls on the buildings. As he waited, skies darkened and rain started to pour. Raining huh?
For a moment he had remembered his sister who had always supported him. Hadate let out a tear. 2 years ago, his sister had told him that she would fight with him in war so she had joined the military but in a battle where she was led by him,.she was infected and had been ordered to be killed.
Though Hadate denied the orders given and tried to keep her a secret. She disappeared one day without telling him why. Then he quit the military due to her disappearance.
I don't know where you went but I'll change this world and beat the horde like you wanted, Shina.
Hadate sensed movements nearing him as he waited in the area. Weapon in his hand. He was ready.
From behind him, a man stood drawing his sword. Quickly, Hadate turned and moved away. Shoulder was slashed.
Hadate ached and watched as the man donning a red coat came closer "Who are you?" Hadate asked
"I am Tensei, a warrior serving under generals Lukas, Yamagata and Thomas." He moved in and slashed his throat.
He slashed his own throat? Hadate moved away and blasted a concussive blast. Hard. Tensei dodged and moved in.
How could he dodge like that? Hadate yanked his daggers but Tensei was close. A slash damaged Hadate's chest. Forcing him backwards.
Tensei smirked "You're too slow," he touched his bleeding neck and sipped it from his finger "You'll never win this."
"Well aren't you cocky," Hadate gasped "Fine then I'll give you something to be cocky about," he threw his dagger.
The blade pierced past Tensei's shoulder and blood spilled down. He gritted his teeth. And cut his wrist opened.
"Why are you injuring yourself?!" Hadate screamed "Have you lost your mind?" He glared towards him.
Tensei smiled. Vanished. Hadate looked around and he was nowhere. Above. Tensei hacked him with his sword.
The blow missed him as Hadate dodged. A smile across Tensei's lips . He dashed towards him and swung his blade.
Hadate created a shield in time but his back smacked against a car. Blood came down his mouth and nose. He chanted words under his breath.
The car's windows smashed as his back collided against the metal. Tensei moved in and plunged his sword.
I see now. He has the ability to empower his physical abilities with self inflicted wounds. As Tensei came closer, Hadate moved his body. The blade stuck into the car's door.
Then Tensei's body chained as a mark appeared on the ground "What in the hell did you do?" Tensei's eyes widened.
"I set up a spell on the ground to trap you," Hadate said "The spell cannot be broken by mere strength so don't resist."
Taking advantage, Hadate drove him down the ground with a concussive blast. Skidding across the ground, Tensei mouth spat out blood.
Dragging his body, Tensei scowled at Hadate "You think I am beaten?" He punched the ground and his hand bled "You mere human!"
Tensei bursted towards him. He punched a hole through Hadate's stomach. Pain surged into his limbs. Hadate roared and blasted him down with a concussive blast.
Leveling him down the ground. Hadate dropped to his knees and gasped whilst holding his wounds. I have to get out of here now.
The short sized general appeared behind him with his handgun aimed "I am sorry to do this but orders are orders," he shot him.
Crimson red coloured the ground. Hadate dropped to the ground but he created a magical bird and sent it into the skies. Hurry and tell them. The generals are here.
The short sized man smirked as he stepped closer "How commendable, to warn your allies even in your state but Taiga, Hakura and Akashi will kill them."
"You....won't win this. I promise," Hadate glanced towards the short sized and passed out with his eyes closed.
From his position, Akashi looked towards the distance "Haiki has killed one," he continued walking "Three more."
Hiding inside a building, Shiki rested whilst his wounds covered up. The bird signaled a message to his mind. A sweat dropped. Hadate was captured? He clenched his fist. We will rescue you when the time comes.
While in another area, Kaise advanced deeper into a evacuated area which was a poor residence parts in the city. The house had old paint barely colouring the walls and no windows. This part was abandoned due to the horde attacks lately.
A gunshot boomed. Kaise gave a sudden look and saw a man with green and blue eyes with blonde hair. Appearing to be a young man wearing a white and blue clothing. The young man walked towards him.
"You are Kaise, correct?" He asked with his gun pointed.
"What if I am?" Kaise held his gun "You're here to kill me," he postured his body and prepared himself.
"That is not completely correct," the boy said "I was ordered to either kill you or bring you in. We have your friend Hadate so surrender and no harm will come to you."
"I won't," Kaise drew his assault rifle
The boy glared and covered his mouth with a cloth "Then you leave me no choice," he shot him.
Rushing towards cover, Kaise showered him with bullets. The young man ducked into cover.
