"Who are you?" Kaise kept his rifle ready "Are you a general?" He peeped through the corner and saw the young man's shadow.
"I am not obliged to answer that." The boy stormed from his cover and shot him with his submachine guns.
The bullets hole through the car. And Kaise doved away but his shoulders bled due to shots.
Taking an advantage, the boy threw a grenade at him. The projectile rocketed towards him. Fast.
Rolled away, Kaise crouched into position and shot him in the arms and chest. The boy spat out blood. He threw another grenade. This one was even more harder.
The throws is getting even harder and faster. Kaise dodged in time. As he ran into cover, the boy shot him with bullets.
Hearing the bullets rattling against the van, Kaise waited for a chance. The bullets stopped. He shot him with his assault rifle.
The boy ran and duck into cover. Leaving blood on his way. Four grenades hurled over at Kaise.
Quickly, he doved away and his body blown away by the explosion. Kaise held his arm, holding down his wound on the ground.
"I guess you know understand my power," the boy said "I have the ability to hurl objects to incredible speeds," he aimed his gun at Kaise' head "This is over."
"Not yet," Kaise dropped him with a kick to the ankle and pointed his assault rifle towards him.
"How can you move with those injuries?" The boy ached "I had you shot and bombed you so there is no way you can."
Kaise pulled down his collar revealing an armor "I have bulletproof armor inside so you're shots were lessen," he prepared to pull the trigger "This is over now."
A shot echoed. And blood smeared on Kaise's shirt. He stood up and walked away, leaving the boy dead on the ground.
The wind blew a coat. A man stood a gun aimed at Kaise. Turned around. A shot echoed and blood dripped excessively.
Kaise dropped to his knees and held his stomach. The man walked closer towards him whilst drawing his sword "I am Akashi and I am here to take you in, Kirito Kaise."
Holding back the pain, Kaise smashed a smoke grenade into the ground. He escaped whilst Akashi was covered in smoke.
Then Akashi erupted a violent blaze around him, clearing the smoke. He scanned the area and noticed nothing "To escape without leaving blood, impressive."
Wobbling in the alley, Kaise gasped and looked around. The wounds gaped even more as he moved.
"Kaise, over here," Shiki signaled to him and assisted him "Are you okay?" He saw the wounds worsening "We need to regroup for now." The two headed back into the apartment where Tatsuya and Andrew awaited.
While Kaise was in rested, Tatsuya along with Shiki explain to Andrew about Hadate's capture "The generals came much later than I thought," Shiki said.
"We have to get Hadate back or else they'll do god knows what to him," Andrew said "I assume those bastards will take him into the high security prison cell under their headquarters which means that you'll have to get past the generals.
Tatsuya remained silent.
"We'll need to avoid fighting as much as possible," Shiki said "We need to save our strength so we'll need a quick route into the prison without inciting a fight against the generals at least."
Tatsuya pondered.
"I do have a plan for that," Andrew said "Take the road near the markets and go inside a basement. That place is an old passage that veterans like me only know so you'll get into the prisons in no time."
Shiki nodded "For now, we'll wait until Kaise recovers and then we'll head out," he covered his eyes "I wonder when Taiga will come."
"Taiga?" Tatsuya said "That someone you know?"
"He is a general but also an old friend of mine along with Hakura," Shiki said "Those guys were only really my friends after that marriage affair I was set up in."
"Did you say marriage?" Andrew's eyes widened.
Shiki sighed "Yeah I did, I was a nobleman's son and was arrange to marry Haruka as part of a political marriage but I refused to and got expelled from my own family," his eyes lowered.
"I never imagined you were in such a mess," Andrew said "I guess you hated your parents didn't you?"
Shiki closed his eyes "I know they hate me but honestly, I only disagree with their methods."
Taiga and Hakura led their squad and got Haido back into headquarters. Though Taiga wondered.
Hakura saw the sword wounds in Haido's body "I guess he really did fought the military but I still can't believe him as the traitor behind the invasion."
"I don't either," Taiga said "Thats why we're going to help him," he clenched his fists "I know I may sound insane but I still believe in him."
"But how are we going to meet him?" Hakura asked "He knows we're generals so he won't trust us."
Taiga walked ahead "I'll make him," he stared across the distance "Come on Hakura, we need to find him."
While on the streets, Roy smirked as he followed a blood trail. How careless. To leave such a simple blood trail.
He chuckled. I have you now. As he eyed the abandoned apartment, he saw Shiki inside. Now I'll make you pay for humilitating me all those years ago.
