Part 17

The streets laid with dead corpses smearing the grounds with blood. And Shiki gasping as he dropped to his knees. He stared at his own hands which was covered in thick blood.

Tatsuya walked over towards him "This is over now so calm down," he placed his hand on Shiki's shoulder.

A wind blast blarred towards them. Tatsuya swung his hand and unleashed a sound wave, repelling the blast.

"You've become a monster to do this," Lukas chuckled "To murder these people who could've been cured with this medicine," he showed them "I have acquired the means to cure people now."

Shiki's eyes widened. What have I done? Was this really what I wanted. He held his head and gasped even more.

"You must be Lukas," Tatsuya stood against him "The man who betrayed us along with Hanzo and Hercules."

"How accurate," Lukas said "However I am not inclined to talk anymore," he drew his gun and aimed at him "Let's settle this now but I am here to kill Shiki so stand aside and I'll play later."

"No chance," Tatsuya's gauntlets began resonating with sound "You're not touching him without my say so."

Lukas build up his wind into his gun "Oh? But you're a criminal so why would you have any attachments to someone like him?"

Tatsuya remained quiet. And Shiki stood up "I'll deal with him so stand aside Tatsuya," he walked towards him but Tatsuya stopped him.

"I'll deal with him.With your weak mind, you'll lose."

Shiki looked away.

"The silent type huh?" Lukas shot him with three bullets.

Dodging them, Tatsuya launched sound oscillations towards him. Lukas repelled with his wind and shot another one.

The bullet pierced his skin. Tatsuya thrust his hand at him and released a black sound wave.

Shiki moved away and observed the battle.

Although it missed his target, the sound wave smashed through a wall. Lukas moved in. He sent wind shaped blades towards him.

Tatsuya dodged two but the last one cut his arm. He held his bleeding wound and pulled back behind a wall in the alley way.

"The man who was nicknamed the Heart Crusher is now hiding behind a wall?" Lukas shot his gun enhancing his bullet with wind.

The shots holed through the wall. Bleeding Tatsuya's shoulder. He dodged as each bullet pierced through the wall.

Lukas charged in and turned on the wall with his gun. No one was there. Tatsuya darted towards him and hammered his stomach with his palms.

The blow caused Lukas to stop breathing and spat out blood "How could I not see you?" He gazed at him

"I used my sound to dampened the noises every footstep I make," Tatsuya said "And I am simply too fast for you to catch up without hearing."

Lukas dropped to the ground. And his stomach bleeding as holes were punctured open through Tatsuya's palm.

Lookind down at his dead opponent, Tatsuya checked his pockets. A white mask. A list of names. And a plan.

Shiki walked over next to Tatsuya "What did you found?"

"The real intentions behind those experiments," Tatsuya said "Those experiments were created to make humans exhibiting powers like Shiki Yagato."

Those words echoed into his mind. Shiki remained speechless. Those were to create powers like mine?

He clenched his fists "We need to get everyone out now," Shiki let out a breath "This city is now going to be littered with these creatures."

Tatsuya nodded "How about Kaise?"

"He'll come. I know he will," Shiki walked ahead "I need to settle the score with the one making these decisions."

"You're talking about the minister?"

"I'll deal with him later but right now we should evacuate as many people as possible or else we would've come here for nothing."

Advancing to the streets, Hakura saw middle class civilians scurrying. The experimented women chased the civilians.

But Hakura swung her blade releasing a lightning wave. The experiment women screamed as the lightning shocked their bodies.

However one remained hobbling towards Mei Ling. To kill the last one, Hakura dashed and plunged her sword into the back. The blade resonated with lightning causing the experiment woman to scream in pain.

"You alright?" Hakura reached out her hand

Mei Ling grabbed her hand and pulled herself back up "What's going on here?" She glanced at the street where the experiment women came from "Those things were...."

"I think its better to not know," Hakura said "I'll escort you with the others and make sure nothing happens."

However Hanzo awaited in the distance. He walked away without a word but Yamagata was there too.

"You're not going to kill her?" Yamagata asked

"I am not here to kill civilians," Hanzo said "I am here to kill warriors and those that get in organization's goals."

"How idealistic," Yamagata said "I'll go and kill her instead then," he went towards her with his swords.

While Akashi arrived in the slums where no one remained "Anyone here?" There was no reply.

The moist in the slums reeked the area. However Akashi was used to it as he was once someone who lived in the slums. He walked around, inspecting the area. They all can't be gone.

"You're Akashi," Hanzai cracked his knuckles as his mob group were behind him "We're here to kill you."

"What have you done to the people here?" Akashi asked in a dark voice.

Hanzai shrugged his shoulders "Those useless bunch? We gave them to Arian to experiment on powers. Don't worry it was for the greater good."

The ground blazed as Akashi glared at them. Flames surrounded him. He drew his sword imbued with flames as well.

"I guess this will be good," Hanzai smirked "Let's get this started," he signaled his men who pulled out their weapons and charged at him.
