Part 11

Tatsuya using his enhanced hearing, heard movements inside the apartment "I think someone is here," he rose up and walked towards the door "I'll deal with him."

Holding his arm, Shiki stopped him and shook his head "He wants me not you so I'll lure him into another area."

"You know him?"

Walking ahead, Shiki gave a stern look. I know he came here to kill me. He walked downstairs. The metal steps echoed under him as he headed down.

Roy glared at him as he stopped on the floor "You knew I was here," he aimed his shotgun and padded closer.

The shotgun's materials seem unsual in comparison. Shiki walked towards him whilst holding his sword's grip "I guess asking you to leave is not going to help."

A shot blarred inside the apartment. Shiki dodged in time and moved in whilst drawing his sword. He swung his sword but missed.

Roy smirked and hit him in the chin with a kick. Forcing him backwards. As he staggered, Shiki shot him with his gun.

Blood gushed out. Roy held his wounded shoulder and shot him with his shotgun again. While holding his ground, Shiki blocked the bullets with his bandaged arm.

"That's impossible," Roy's eyes widened "How can you block bullets with your bare hands like that?!"

Shiki remained undamaged. He charged and hammered him through the wall with tackle. Their bodies dropped on the ground and Roy began bleeding.

However Shiki stood up but he gasped in pain while holding his stomach. He swung his sword downwards.

Roy moved his body with a roll and shot him. But Shiki blocked with his arm again. He moved in and slashed him in the chest.

Shirt covered in blood. Roy spat out blood and staggered backwards "I will be the one to kill you, no one else can have that glory."

Shiki looked down "Is this because of what happened years ago?" He hobbled towards him, dragging his sword along the ground "You want revenge?"

Clenching his fists, Roy glared at him "How could you have the talent and abilities when I was the one working without any rest. You were blessed with things I wanted and when I looked up to you," he aimed his shotgun at him "You looked down at me like I am a dog! You mocked me and my hard work all those years."

For a moment, Shiki stopped moving without a word to speak.

"You even had people looking up to you and even the attention of Colonel Hercules!" Roy yelled "You don't deserve that and now I'll take them from you."

"I am sorry."

Roy gritted his teeth "You're apologizing now!" He prepared to pull the trigger "I don't think so!"

"I know that was once arrogant and mocked people below me," Shiki said "But right now, I won't let you kill me when I have things that I need to do."

"That is not your choice!" Roy shot him.

Shiki deflected the bullets with his blade and dashed towards him. He swung a double handed slash.

Tearing up the skin with blood splattering. Roy went down the ground. He lost the strength to move or speak and his body seeped out blood.

Shiki walked and stood near him, watching him bleeding on the ground "I am sorry for what I did."

"This is not over." Roy closed his eyes and passed out.

Placing his hand on Roy's neck, he could tell he was still alive. Shiki looked around and saw Tatsuya "Can you help him get back up there and heal?"

"Why? He is an enemy," Tatsuya aimed his hand at the downed man "I'll eliminate him and end this."

"This was my fault so do this on my behalf," Shiki said

Tatsuya walked there and carried Roy on his back "The generals are coming here so how are we supposed to go about here?"

"We'll go with the original plan but with the generals on the move, I'll need to go alone." Shiki walked away

"That's insane, how are you going to break Hadate out without help?" Tatsuya asked "This will kill you."

"I have a power given to me. This is my responsibility," Shiki sped ahead without a word as he passed through the narrow streets.

Resting inside his chambers, Hercules looked through books while Koichi sat on the chair stargazing through the window.

"How are things going?" Koichi asked "I heard that your men were beaten and retreated like a dog."

Hercules closed the book and turned towards him "I assure you that it will not happen again," he said "I have one already so luring the others should go smoothly."

"That's good but aren't you disturbed at all that you're betraying humanity?" Koichi smirked "I hope you're not going to be emotional."

Hercules closed his eyes "No, I am not betraying humanity. This is to ensure our survival into the next generation and onwards."

The door opened. And blood splattered on the ground as guards laid dead on the ground with their necks slashed. Walking inside, Hanzo glared towards him "You're the real traitor here."

"I knew that you'd be the one," Hercules walked towards him "So what are you going to do now that you're, Hanzo?"

Koichi clicked his fingers and vanished into nothing.

Hercules clenched his fist. I am not evil. The one who is evil is one who leads mankind to extinction and that is Shiki.

Taiga and Hakura patrolled with Akashi along the damaged path. For a moment, Akashi turned his attention.

"What's wrong?" Taiga asked him "You sense them?"

Closing his eyes, Akashi sensed the movements "There is someone heading towards headquarters, perhaps to get his comrade out," he opened his eyes and prepared to move.

But Taiga stopped him. He moved ahead "Akashi, I want you to leave this to me."

Akashi turned his attention away and patrolled the roads as usual. Though Hakura remained.

"You're really going through with this?" Hakura asked

"Find where Andrew is and I'll deal with this," Taiga walked in slow speed "I need to know the truth behind this."
