Part 12

Advancing through the silent streets, Shiki was nearing headquarters but he wondered who will come to stop him.

Soldiers charged out into the open. The marksmen shot him with their weapons but Shiki deflected their shots with his blade.

He swung his sword. And sliced their bodies. Closing his eyes, he proceeded onwards as he sheathed his sword.

"I see that you came here without anyone," Hercules' voice boomed across the area. From inside a house, he stepped out the door and smirked.

"Hercules, I never imagined that you'd be the traitor behind this," Shiki's muscles tightened "I don't know what your reason is but I am going to stop you."

Padding towards him, Hercules drew his sword "Foolish child, you don't understand anything do you?"

"I don't understand you," Shiki drew his sword and hammered his weapon downwards at him.

Hercules blocked with his blade "Then I'll end you," he pushed his sword against his, driving him backwards "You will come to understand the means to surviving in this world."

The Colonel's blade pushed him down to one knee. Shiki imbued his arm's energy into his sword and pushed back against him.

"Your powers have improved that will not save you," Hercules kicked him in the abdomen and delivered another one in the cheek.

The blood gushed. Shiki roared and rammed him against the wall with his shoulder. And more blood came out. This one from the Colonel.

Hercules bellowed and slashed him in the chest. The blow staggered Shiki backward but he readied his position as Hercules came. Dodged another slash, Shiki swung a slash with both hands on the grip.

Hurting him in the organ, Hercules moved backwards and bit his lips "This is enough," he aimed and shot a beam through his finger.

Shiki's back crashed into a building. The spine ached upon impact. As he breathed, he heard Hercules storming towards him.

He charged him with a punch that resonated his energy. To his surprise, Hercules dodged and drove his sword into his leg. The pain screamed into his leg.

"A child can never beat me," Hercules pulled his sword and watched him went down to one knee.

Pointing his sword towards the neck, Hercules glared "You came here to save Hadate didn't you?"

Shiki remained silent.

"You are an idiot to believe that I never knew about this shortcut into headquarters," Hercules raised his sword "And now you will die due to that idiocy."

A sword swung across the air. Hercules blocked it and saw Taiga wielding swords in each hand.

"I will not let you kill him," Taiga roared and pushed his sword against the blade, driving him backwards.

"Taiga," Shiki barely able to speak those words as blood gushed down his skin "What in the world are you doing?"

"I swore to her that I'd protect you," Taiga said "I am keeping that promise," he scowled at Hercules.

"You would dare challenge me?" Hercules asked "How dare you betray me like this," he pointed his sword.

"You're the one who's betrayed us," Taiga said "I heard the whole thing and whatever your reasons are. I'll kill you the same."

Hercules smirked "You think you can kill me?" He walked towards him "Know your place boy."

Shiki stood up and looked towards Taiga "How would you go about beating him," he glanced towards Hercules.

"I'll move in," Taiga barged towards him and threw a strong punch.

Hercules blocked with both arms. Found an opening. Shiki dashed towards him and slashed him in the side.

"You dare do that to me!" Hercules shot another beam.

This one missed. Shiki pulled his gun and shot him in the midsection. Causing him to lose motion.

Taiga grabbed both Hercules' arm and smashed him with his head. The blood poured down Hercule's eyes as he staggered.

Pulling back, Hercules gasped and glared at them "You can never understand how your actions are dooming us all!"

"Well I guess you need to see how much chaos you have caused!" Taiga charged towards him and swung his swords.

A man stepped in. He blocked the blades with his own. Shiki stared speechless. That man was Hanzo.

"Hanzo, what are you doing?" Taiga said "He is the enemy!"

But Hanzo remained silent. He ducked below and swung his sword. Taiga dodged backwards.

"Have you turned on us too?" Shiki gazed at Hanzo.

"I have no reason to explain it to you," Hanzo replied without slight movement in his face "Your incompetence in realizing what you are doing will doom humans."

Then soldiers arrived in the area and surrounded Hercules and Hanzo. Hakura, Akashi, Andrew, Tatsuya, Kaise were all here.

Andrew aimed his gun at him "You've gone too far, Hercules. I don't know what you're thinking but I know that its wrong."

Hakura came over towards Shiki and Taiga "Are you two alright?" She watched Hanzo and Hercules being surrounded.

"Yeah we are," Shiki said

Andrew walked towards Hanzo and Hercules "This is over so surrender," he loaded his gun "Or we'll end your both now."

"Fools! You have no idea what you're doing is directly causing our survival to diminish!" Hercules screamed "Hanzo! Now!"

Hanzo pulled a crystallized shaped box and smashed it down the ground. Soldiers started shooting them but their bodies began vanishing.

"Teleportation," Andrew glared

"How observant," Hercules smirked "You won't see the last of us. We'll return with the new horde that will crush you all into nothing!"

Hercules and Hanzo disappeared.

"That madman," Taiga.
