Chapter 7.1 -- The Prince and the Trash
LESLIE'S POV
"Oh. Why the smile? New boy, eh?" tanong ni Dawn, ang closest friend ko here in SNU. Sa sobrang closeness namin, we treat each others as sisterette. At dahil na din sa sisterette instincts ng bawat isa, we know what's on for our every gorgeous facial expressions.
"Gah! As in Gaga for this one! You know Uno Enriquez?" uh?! I waved my hand to dismiss the words. Why should I even ask? Like hello? Uno Xavier Enriquez is one of the most popular here in SNU. "Nevahmind. Uno and I will have a date later!"
"Uno and You? You're kidding me!" she said unbelievably. Like duh! Me, the ever gorgeous and precious Leslie Kristine Lucero of the Lucero Empires, doubted for my date? That's pure DUH!
"Sorry, dear. But I'm not kidding."
"Eeeeh! Oh my! I'm so... Uh. Speechless for you! How did you do that?"
"Well, that's pure charm, sisterette."
"OMG! That's... awesome! So. What will you wear then?! I am superly-duperly excited for you!"
I know. It's too obvious she's crazily excited for me! But of course, I am more than excited for this. Just being spoiled by this non-sense discussion about a certain 'Budget Analysis'! The hell I care! It's like it consumed my whole day. Arrgh!
*Kriiiiing!!!*
That's it! I really love this sound. It's pure music for me.
"See you tom, Dawn." I waved then took my very fashionable exit from that room.
Just as when I am taking my path to the USC Office where Me and Uno will meet for our date, according to Tita Dorothy, I heard my phone rang.
Tita Dorothy
Calling...
"Yes, tita?" I answered.
[Oh, Hi Leslie. Meet me at the cafeteria. I'll accompany you with him. Bye.]
"Oh, sure, tita. Bye."
Hindi na ako nahirapan pang hanapin si Tita Dorothy, my soon-to-be mother-in-law. I smiled at the thought. Me being Mrs. Leslie Kristine Domingo-Enriquez, that's more than envying. Hahaha.
"Oh, hija. I'm glad you came around. How's school?" she asked me. She's in her late forties, but I must say, she looks younger than her age. She's definitely from the Bustamante-Enriquez clan. Gah! I can't wait to be one of them!
"It was fine, tita. Everything's fine. So how's Uno?" am I so direct to the point? Nauna ko pang kamustahin si Uno kesa siya. Haha. Well, I just missed Uno so much.
The last time I saw him was non-sense. Yeah, I was with him in a meeting where I don't even get a single discussion they say, yet we rarely talked. My Uno. He's so hands-on to his position as the VP of the University Students' Council. What more to the company he'll be holding in the near future. The Enriquez and Lucero as one. Perfect!
Then there came this girl who looks like a certain trash who intruded the meeting. Duh! Eksena lang? Agawan ba naman ako ng spotlight?
She looks stupid, kaya di na ako nagulat ng ipakilala siyang driver ni Uno. Well, mukha nga naman siyang driver lang.
And then, I was planning to invite Uno to a dinner after THEIR meeting. Hell yeah. Ako na ang magiinitiate. Masama?! Pero bigla na lang nawala sa paningin ko si Uno ng matapos ang meeting. Nakakainis! Indiyanin at iwanan ba naman for the second time?! So for the third time, I'll make sure Uno will be MINE. Alone.
But, sabi ni Tita Dorothy sasamahan niya ako. Paano ang intimacy namin kung may chaperogne? Uh... Ssh. Don't tell her! Di bale na lang, basta ba sure na makakapunta si Uno eh, then go!
"Leslie, hija, are you sure your fine?" she asked worried.
"Uh. Yes, tita. Why?" Of course I am. Uno and I have a date, so who wouldn't be perfectly fine?
"Nothing. You just looks so pre-occupied. So, let's go?"
"Yes, tita. Come on." I said full of enthusiasm. I'm so excited here!
Pagdating namin sa office ng USC, Tita Dorothy opened the door and was stopped, shock evident in her appearance.
"Tita, you ok?" I asked, then proceed to enter the office.
And Uno was there...
...hugging a trash!
I was beyond shocked, kaya kahit na kitang-kita ko ang ginawa nila, I still managed to ask. "What's happening here!"
You asked the obvious, huh Leslie? What do you think they're doing?! Nagkikilitian?!
Narinig ko ding magsalita si Tita Dorothy. "Who the hell are you?" she said her eyes seems to shoot that trash fatal daggers.
"Mom..." Uno started. "She's my girlfriend." Girlfriend?! Yang panget na yan?! Yang mukhang basurang yan?! Gosh!
"This is ridiculous! This is... Argggh!" then I runned-away. Alangan namang magstay ako dun at hintayin pa silang ikwento ang walang-kwentang lovestory nila! The epic lovestory eveeer! THE PRINCE and the TRASH. Wow lang ha?! Bulag ba ang prinsipe?! Nandito na nga akong prinsesa, pipili pa ng basura?! The hell that trash!
