Clove
Cato and I both grab a ball from the ball return. "You're gonna lose," I say, smirking.
He returns the smirk. "We'll see about that, won't we?" He says, running up to the foul line and then letting the ball go. He gets a strike! "Strike!" He shouts.
"I thought you didn't know how to play," I say.
"I never said that."
"Yes, you did."
"I said I wasn't so sure how to play."
I frown. "But you're the best I've ever seen play it." He just shrugs and I run towards the foul line, let go, and make a strike. "I got a strike, too!"
"Good job, Cloverfeild." He ruffles my hair, making me blush. He grabs the ball he's using from the ball return and runs to the foul line, lets the ball go, and get another strike.
Okay, now it's really on. I smirk.

We both walk out of the bowling ally together, laughing. "I won," Cato says.
"Just wait, I'll beat you next time." I tell him then cross my arms, shivering.
"Are you cold?" He asks, stripping his jacket off.
"Yes, but I'll be okay."
"You sure?"
I nod. "Yes," I say.
He wraps his jacket around me anyway. "You seem like you need it more then I do." He smiles.
"Thanks," I return the smile. We stop at a black car.
"No problem," he opens the door to the driver's side and gets in. I walk over to the other side of the car and slide in the passenger side.
"That was fun," I laugh.
"Yeah. Yeah, it was." His smile widens.
"My favorite part was when you got angry."
"Yeah," he scratches the back of his neck. "Sorry about that, I get a little competitive."
"Oh, it's okay." I smile a little more. "Besides, you're cute when you're angry."
"Really?" He asks.
"Yeah. Really."
We stare into each other's eyes for a moment... then he leans in. I hold my breath. He gets closer. And closer. And closer. Now, he's so close that I feel his breath on my face and I close my eyes. Then... the car horn blows. I sigh, opening my eyes.
He smiles shyly. "That was- that was my elbow." He inserts the key into the ignition then looks over at me. "Sorry."
"No. It's okay." I say, buckling my seatbelt as we pull out of the parking lot and onto the road.
"You know you can listen to the radio, right?" He asks as we get farther down the road, making me reach over to the radio and turn the dial to turn it up.
