Cato

"Why are you here?" Marvel shouts as door slams behind him as he enters the house and Glimmer follows him.

"I want to talk to you, Marvel!" She shouts. "Hey, Cato. Hey, Clove." She says as she walks by.

"I don't feel like talking to you." He says, walking upstairs.

"Marvel..." she tries but he slams his bedroom door. "Marvel?" She sobs. "Please."

I walk to her and place my hand on her shoulder, startling her. "Glimmer?"

"What do you want?" She spits, sobbing.

"Are... Are you okay?" I stammer.

"Yeah." She shrugs her shoulders. "I'm completely fine, except I just got yelled at for what seems like years!" She shouts in my face.

"I'm sorry," I frown.

"No," she shakes her head. "I am. I shouldn't have shouted at you. I'm just pissed."

"It's okay," I say with a smile.

She punches my arm. "I've gotta go, loser."

I punch her arm lightly. "See ya, idiot."

"Bye, Glim." Clove hugs her best friend.

"Bye, Clo." Glimmer walks out the door, waving.

Clove and I walk back to the couch and she curls up, lying her head on my chest. I close my eyes, listening to the soft crackle of the fireplace when I feel a pair of lips on mine. I open my eyes when the lips leave mine, smiling. "What was that for?" I ask Clove, sitting up.

She smirks. "Nothing. I just wanted to kiss you." She quirks an eyebrow.

"That's your reason?" I ask.

"Yep." She pops the 'p'.

"Well that's a hell of a reason," I whisper as I lean back in.

"You know what?" She says half way through the kiss.

"What?"

"I was thinking..." She pauses.

"Thinking?" I pull away.

"I was thinking we could maybe get Marvel and Glimmer together." She says.

"Mmm..." I trail. "When?"

"I don't know," she shrugs. "Maybe tomorrow?"

I smile. "Maybe." I kiss her for one second. "A devious plan." I growl. She giggles. "What?" I ask, cocking an eyebrow.

"Your Grr makes me go Mmm," she purses her lips together.

I laugh. "How are we going to get them together?"

She taps her chin. "It's not going to be easy, but I think I have an idea"

"And what is it?" I say.

She smirks and says, "Can't tell you. Not now anyway. It's a suprise."

I scowl, narrowing my eyes. "Clove..." I drag.

She just laughs and leans back in.

I have a strange feeling about this plan. I think, closing my eyes again.

"I don't know, guys." Marvel shakes his head. "I'm sorta mad at Glimmer right now."

"Aw, come on, Marvel." Clove begs.

"Besides, you wanted to play laser-tag with her this weekend, anyway. Am I right?" I ask.

"Yeah. I wanted to. Key word: wanted." He says.

"Marvel," I beg. "Do it."

"No." He says, pushing past me to his room.

"Please, Marvel?" Clove says.

"No, Clove." He says nonchalantly.

"Please?"

"No."

"Please?"

"No."

"Not like a date," Clove says.

"Is Barbie Girl going to be there?" Marvel's eyes grow wide as he asks.

"Yes." I tell him and Clove smacks my arm. "What?" I hiss quietly.

He taps his chin. "Sure."

"Really?" Clove and I ask in unison.

"No." He scowls, making the two of us frown.

"Marvel..." Clove groans.

"Clove..." Marvel mocks, chuckling.

"We're serious." She says.

"I know." He says. "So am I."

"Please?"

"No, Clove." He looks at her then, at me. "No, Cato. I hate Glimmer."

"No, you don't." I say.

"Yes. I very much hate her." He walks away.

We need a better plan.
