Chapter 25: Just Deal with it

Kamri's POV

After that night, everything seemed to be so awkward.  I didn't know why but I felt it.  I tossed my blue backpack on my shoulder and headed downstairs.  We were getting ready to live the mansion.  

"Kamri, I'm so happy to have met you." Mrs. Simons hugged me and gave me a kiss on my cheek.

"Me too. It is my pleasure to be here and meet you."  I hugged back and when I let go, Trevor appeared and embraced me.

"I will miss you Kamri."  He said.  He popped his cute puppy eyes again.   I bent down and gave him a kiss on his forehead.  "I will miss your naughtiness." 

Trevor just giggled and ran towards Blake.  

"Daddy, when will you come back again? Will you bring Kamri back again?" He curiously asked his dad.  Blake carried him and gave him a kiss.  

"I will be back. Be a good boy. I will call you as soon as I get home.  Wait for me on Skype."  Blake promised to his son yet never answered whether I would be back in here again. Trevor  buried his face on his dad's chest and sobbed a little.

"Don't cry. I'd be back." Blake handed Trevor back to Mrs. Simons.  Blake's car was already waiting for us.  He would drive back again. I was going to be in hell again. Silently, he handed my phone back at me.

"Thank you." I said. As usual, he ignored me again.  We waved goodbye to Mrs. Simons, Trevor and the mansion keepers.  It was nice to be here even for a short while.  Blake started the ignition and accelerated.  The entire drive was so quiet. 

"I'm hungry."  Blake spoke all of a sudden.

"Hmmmm.mmm.... um... if you don't mind, we can drop by the nearest diner in here." I suggested.

"Why don't we go to Gateau Cafe?" He said. Of course, it was a nice choice. 

"Sure, do you know Ice, my bestfriend, works there. I can tell you the way." I added.  However, he snapped and turned on the GPS inside his car.  Shit. I was embarrassed again. Grrrh.  

After 20 minutes, we got at the cafe.  I was also starving and I couldn't hide the growling sound inside my tummy.  I was embarrassed again. Shit. Grrrrrrr.

As I opened the door, only one spot caught my eye. It was where Calvin sat down.  He was at the cafe that time. He was chatting with Teta and Sarah. OMG.  

"Kamri, you are back." Ice screamed.  She even disturbed other patrons in the cafe.  She quickly ran towards me and gave me a super big hug.  "I'm glad you are back."

"Yeah, I miss you. Sorry for not sending a message. I'll tell you everything later at home." I rubbed the back of my head and smiled at her. I was going to be screwed later for sure my twinee would torture me for not sending or keeping her posted.  

"Hey, your boss is also here." She whispered and I just nodded. 

"Hi, welcome to Gateau Cafe Mr. Davis. Let me find you a nice seat. " Ice politely offered.

"That would be nice but I prefer to sit at the bar."  He said. Shit. He was going to sit beside Calvin. I hoped he wouldn't talk to him. I hoped he forgot what I told him last night that Calvin was my boyfriend.  

Calvin saw us and he just waved and smiled at me.  That was all. Just a smile. Kidding. I was just too delusional.  But, Calvin left his seat and walked towards us.

"Hey, homie..... I haven't seen you for three days."  He said.

"Uhmm.. ehem.. ehem..." Blake cleared his throat.  I knew for sure this kind of Blake's gestures. He would like to be involved.
