Chapter 4: The Mess and The Admirer

Guys Don’t be confused.  This chapter focuses on the two POV’- Kamri and Ice’s POV.

Kamri Ackles’ POV

“What on earth did he send a message like this?” I hissed.

I was on the verge of freaking out again.  Alyssa looked at me worried because I was fidgeting and kicking the light post in front of the café.

“Kamri, c’mon! Let’s go!”  She sounded so excited.

“Imagine… I hit two birds with one stone.  C’mon! This is my biggest chance to see Kaleb plus Blake close up.” She boasted.

“No!” I replied defiantly.

“No one is going there and besides, the hell I care. They call  another person to fix the mess that that awful monster did! “ As the tone of my voice plummeted.

Alyssa slapped my shoulder. “Are you nuts? He is your boss.  No matter what will happen you have to be there for him.  You should carry him under your wing.  You are the assistant, aren’t you?”

“Look who’s talking.  He’s not part of my responsibility.  I’m an assistant.” I turned my head and glared at Alyssa, “ Besides, I’m not a babysitter of a cold-hearted brat.”

My phone beeped and buzzed.  Alyssa smirked at me and “ You must be off now.  You might feel guilty if something terrible happens.”  She said empathizing to the situation.

“Ok. Ok. Ok.  I’ll go.  Stop it and please tell Ice about this.” I said. 

“Sure! You can count on me!” She nodded and smiled at me.

I opened the door of my car, turned the key and hit the ignition angrily. “Why do I have to fix the mess of that guy? What a terrible day it is!”

I hurriedly drove my car to Blue Caven Club which was 10 minutes away from the café.  It was a well-known club for elite people around the town.  While driving, I checked my phone and Kaleb had been calling me 12 times.

From afar I could see Kaleb trying to break the brawl which was happening.  I pulled over at the corner  and rushed straight ahead towards the brawling crowd.  Wow. Blake was throwing and exchanging fists with four men in a black suit.  It looked like a scene from an action packed movie.

“Kamri, thanks you are here!” Kaleb yelled as he tried to break the tension.

“Why didn’t you call a cop instead of calling me? Are you out of your mind? “ I screamed and showed him a tough look.

“What happened?” I asked fiercely.

“Blake is damn drunk.”  All of sudden, one of the guys in black suit punched Kaleb on the face.   It totally got into my nerves.  I exploded like a bomb.  In fact, I hadn’t been into a fight for years.  Blood rushed quickly to my head.  I could feel that my heart pumped so fast. My hands were shaking.  It  only went to show that I was ready to give a fight.  I knew how to fight though I was a short and small lady. Well, I was the symbol of a small but terrible one.  I grabbed the arms of the man who punched Kaleb on the face and kicked him on his groin area.  That guy fell on his knees looking terribly in pain.  He served it right.  I turned my back to Kaleb whose nose was bleeding.
