Chapter 29: The Comeback

Years has passed since the last time Kamri saw Calvin. After the incident at the park and after Calvin cleared out that everything between them was just friendship nothing more and nothing less. Kamri distant herself from Calvin.
She focused herself on her job and putting up with Blake's character. She tried to be happy amidst her broken heart.

Meanwhile, Ice was having a trouble with May. May continued to bug her at all times. She found it scary and overwhelming. Luckily, Teta was always there. Ice planned to unveil the truth about her and May to Kamri but she didnt have the nerve to tell it to her bestfriend. Each day was like a torturous event for her. But....

"Good morning, Ms. Ice" Teta greeted Ice with a big smile.
"Hi, morning. You are so early to be here." Ice replied while checking the ingredients in the pantry.
"Hmmm... I'm a bit worried about you." Teta muttered.
"Why so?" She laughed.
"Recently, I've seen May roaming close to the cafe. Is she bothering you?" She is just a pain in the neck, isnt she?" Teta groaned. He was such a nice guy caring for her boss or did it show any romantic gesture?

Ice shrugged her shoulder and telling Teta not to worry about her. She was big enough and mature enough to handle the situation and nothing to worry much. Ice tried to act and look tough in front of Teta but Teta didnt seem to buy it.
And the day started to go by.

Meamwhile, Kamri was preparing for an important event in the company. It was a year-end party for the company and she had to coordinate with the committee in charge.
She ran to and fro checking whether everything was organized. Entering the elevator, she met May.
"Hi May. How is it going? I havent seen you for quite a long time. I heard you were dispatched to Hawaii." Kamri said.
" Yeah. " May replied but she looked away right away avoiding  Kamri's gaze.

Kamri was a bit confused since May always bothered her or made fun of her but that time it seemed very strange.  Well, Kamri just shrugged it off and continued doing her task because she was already behind schedule.

"Wow, I feel like I'm in hell now. Mr. Monster will roast me again if I don't finish everything up. I'm sick of this. I don't need to do it actually but why the heck, he always piles this stuff on me. " I sighed as I checked every department.
