Chapter 28: Love in December

Hi Guys! I'm back from a long hiatus. I have been busy about my job for the past months and so many things have come up. I'm sorry if I haven't updated but now I'm back!

Kamri's POV

"Merry Christmas Kamri!" A splash of confetti hit my face when I woke up.  Ice popped a huge party popper right in my face and some went in my mouth.

Spitting sound" Ice! What are you out of your mind?" I crawled on the right side of my bed.

"Oh, c'mon!" Ice hissed.

"It isn't christmas yet! Look 7 days left before christmads." I pointed my finger at the calendar which was hanging behind the door.

"I know! and two days left before you have a vacation! It's great , isn't it." She exclaimed.  I got up and messed up my hair showing an upset and irritated feeling.

"I hate my job! I wanna quit!" I yelled. Ice looked at me with curiousity.

"Hey, twinee. For the past weeks, you have been so down. Though we haven't talk much lately about our everyday lives since we are too occupied but I could sense how stressed you are. Has he been giving you loads of hard time?" She asked.

I sighed heavily and fighting back the tears to come out." Yeah, I love my job but I despise working with BLAKE!" I exclaimed his name. "Each day, all he does is to mentally torture me or his staffs and like suffocating us." I sighed heavily again.  Ice patted my back.

"It's gonna be fine. I know you can deal with it. Remember? You are the mighty Kamri." She smiled at me and rubbed my back gently.  

" But......" I hugged her so tightly and burst in tears.  Ice was so shocked of my sudden action.

"What's wrong?" She wondered.

"Ice.... everything about me and Calvin is over?"

"What? I don't get it. What do you mean?"

"Last week, I asked him. I mean, I totally got the nerve to ask about his feelings for me."

"So?" Ice let me go and looked at me in the eyes.

"He said......... You are just a brother to me."  I cried out loud again.

"Poor twinee. Nevermind about him. It's about time to move on. " She hugged me again. Suddenly, the door bell rang.

"I got it. Take a rest. Okay? Wipe your tears." She said. 

Ice headed downstairs to check who it was.

Ice POV

"I never ordered  a pizza nor expecting a delivery." I wondered as I walked towards the door.  I twisted the door knob and was stoked of the person standing in front of me. Holy cow. It was Kamri's boss standing in front of me and he brought some coffee and freshly baked glazed bagels. 

"Good morning!" I greeted him. OMG. I was stuttering.

"Good morning Ms. Collins." He smiled at me. 

"Come in." I said. I let him in the house and when he walked past me, I smelled his scent. He smelled so good. He wasn't wearing a formal suit or looking so proper but he was just on his trainers. 

"What brings you here, Mr. Davis?" I asked.

"I'm here to see you." He smiled and handed me the goodies that he had.
