Guys! I do apologize that it takes me a long time to update the next chapter because I'm so tied up with my schedule in college. I've got bunch of homeworks and projects to do. But, no need to worry. Here is the new chapter of "Thinking Out Loud." Another main character is being introduced. Enjoy!

“My friends say I have to give you up but my zany heart says No. It seems there is a force that pushes me to pursue you more. Why oh why? Why can’t I move on? It’s been three years, man! For three years, I have been hoping that someday you can reciprocate the attention I give you. For three years, I have been waiting for the answer. Damn it. Enough of drama!”

Calvin Henrich's POV
Passengers rushed out of the train and walked to and fro getting to where their destinations were. I breathed in and felt the autumn breeze of Bayfields.
“Oh…. It’s been three years since I left this place and there are tons of changes now. Buildings got more and more skyrocketing. More busking around. Miss the busiest street. There’s no place like home. I can’t wait to see Grannie and my homies.”
“Hey bro, we need a cab. “ Teta, my friend, called for a cab.
“Cal, let’s go! What are you waiting for?” He shouted annoyingly and carried his stuff with him while I was just dawdling around. I couldn’t believe that I was back. I grabbed my backpack and placed it on my right shoulder.
“Whoa, the cab is here. Hurry up, Cal.” Teta waved his hand to me and signed that I needed to move fast. The cab driver opened the trunk and we threw our stuff and backpacks inside, then hopped in.
“Excuse me, Sir. Where are we heading for?” The cab driver asked politely.
“Cleve Hills, please.” I demanded. The cab driver had a strong accent. He must have been an asian.
“Bro, this place is far-fetched from what I expected. Back in California, all I can see are beaches, girls in bikinis and surfers like us. I’m gonna miss the sand and my surfboard.” Tapping his phone and took some picture. It was the first time of Teta to visit Manhattan.
“Yeah, however, we can still drop by some time. Well, you won’t feel homesick since you brought your fave surfboard.” I rested my head on the seat and mesmerized the memories I kept. Before, I was such a jerk, a party-animal and a lazy-bone giving so much headache and heartache to my Grannie. I’d been in so many troubles with girls I had hooked up before. In short, I was a pain in the ass.
Teta stretched his arms and yawned. In return, I couldn’t help yawning as well.
“Damn, I’m so exhausted of the long trip we had.” I said.
“So am I, bro! Can we grab some bite yo. I’m starving. I’m gonna die.” Teta rubbed his belly and acting like he was indeed dying.
“Cut the crap. Stop acting like a girl, man. I know one café in here. I bet you will fall in love with their food, cupcakes, cakes and beverages. “ I assured him.
“Excuse me.” I called the attention of the driver.
“Could you possibly take us to Gateau Café on Boyce Avenue?” I requested the driver to take us in there instead of heading to Cleve Hills.
“Yes, sir! No problem!” The taxi driver replied.
“Café?” Teta’s eyes arched as if he was so clueless.
