Madam Pince stared at us, due to the noise that Sherlock was making, but I ignored her, scared of what I knew my cousin would say next.

"Sherlock..." I said, surrounding us with a sound block, so that the librarian wouldn't tell him off for shouting. And I knew he would shout, why would he not? He was Sherlock. It was to be expected.

And sure enough...
"get over it, Hetty! I don't like it anymore than you do!"

"Sherlock.." But he was right. I had excepted the truth, but that didn't mean I had to like it. Who would, when they had seen what I had seen?

"..But I've learned to live with it! I had to!" Sherlock shouted.
My potions essay flew to the floor, as if the force of his words had made it hide. I almost wanted to hide too, hide from the truth, hide from what he was going to say next.

His next words hit me like a storm, hearing them come from his mouth for the first time since the start of second year. They reopened the old wounds, like a cursed blade.

"I'm blind, Henry!" Sherlock shouted, and then sobbed "I'm blind.."
