HAILEY'S POV

"What should I wear? It's all so overwhelming, you know? Everything is happening so quickly."

I was at the mall with Chelsea searching for an outfit for my date with Adrian. He called me last night and said that we were going on our first date on Saturday and that he'd pick me up from home at 7:30 pm.

It was already Thursday and I had absolutely no idea what to wear as you must have already figured out.

"I think you're overreacting, Hails. I mean, yeah, everything happened really fast but just be yourself and everything will be perfect. As for your outfit, wear something comfortable but classy. It always works and you know I'm always here to help you out. Oh, that reminds me... I'm helping you get dressed. He is not going to able to stop staring," she said and squealed.

She's more excited than I will ever be.  Whenever I think about the date my stomach always drops, my palms get sweaty and I always turn into this embarrassing mush that nobody ever wants to see. But Chelsea was right, I just have to be myself.

"So should I wear like a nice pear of jeans and a cute shirt maybe? But what if we go to a dinner date? I can't wear jeans to a dinner date. I need to wear a nice dress. Maybe I should call him and ask where we're goi-"

"Hailey! Calm down, it's going to fine. I know just what you should get." Chel said, a bit annoyed and pulled me into the store.

Half an hour later, I found myself in a small trial room with a bunch of clothes to try on. There were jeans, leggings, shirts, scarves and basically anything you can think of.

"Chelsea, I need help. This is so much work," I groaned while putting a black floral dress on. I turned around to look in the mirror.

Hmm, not bad. This was actually cute paired up with the denim jacket and brown boots. All i needed was a cute bag and this would make the most amazing outfit I'd managed to put together.

"Let me see," I heard Chel say. I gave myself one last look in the mirror and then finally unlocked the door.

Her reaction told me exactly what I wanted to hear. She shrieked excitedly and ran over to give me a tight hug.

"You look so beautiful! I'm so excited for you," she said while still hugging me. I hugged her back with equal happiness and excitement.

"Great, so you can get changed and then we can get some food and then off to the movies," she said and giggled.

"I'll see you at the cash counter." I replied and made my way back inside the small trial room.

I quickly took the boots off followed by the denim jacket and the dress. I put my shirt, my shorts and my shoes back on, grabbed my bag and my new set of clothes and walked out towards the cash counter.

I paid for my items as did Chel for hers and you should have seen the look on our faces as we walked out of the store. We were beaming with joy and excitement and it felt so good to just let go and be free.

We decided to eat some greasy and delicious pizza before we went to watch the movie. Chel and I were dying to go watch 'The Intern' so that's what we're going to do.

Today had been a really good day. Everything was going as planned and no one truly knew how good I felt when I had a day like that.

*****

The movie was really good to say the least. Anne Hathaway did a great job as did Robert De Niro. It was worth the wait.

Chel gave me a ride home as usual since I didn't bring my car with me. The ride home was pleasant and filled with lots of celebrity gossip and all the little things girls usually talk about.
