Chapter 5:
It has been four months since the duo that is Bella and Luke moved in. It has gone so fast and it has been great to have people around all the time there is always time to have fun. My lessons with Bella are going great she is seriously a natural when it comes to dancing.
"Hey Adeline don't you have work today." Luke asks pouring me a coffee.
"Yes I do that's why I need a travel mug, Are you going to the job interview today." I say pulling my blazer on.
"Yes I do I need to drop Bella at the train station then I'm going and here is you latte in a travel mug." He hands me the coffee.
"Bye Luke Good Luck, bye Bella have fun at school." I call out and shut the door behind myself, we're like a family to be honest.
"Adeline you need to do reception today Becca has taken maternity leave and I totally forgot to get a fill in." My mum says handing me a bunch of papers.
"Hey Mum what if I be her fill in I need to earn more money please." I beg it is true I only just get enough money to buy basics since I'm not actually qualified to counsel kids.
"I don't know you don't have as much experience."
"Mum test me out for a week see how I go then see if I can stay." I try to reason with her.
"But if anything big happens you are out straight away."
"Deal thank you mum I Love you so much."
"Love you too now get to work." I open up the desktop computer and start looking what I need to do.
"Excuse me is this reception." I look up at a young man with blonde hair.
"Yes I'm Adeline how can I help you today?" I say professionally.
"What a beautiful name, I was just wondering if my sister had come out of her therapy session."
"What is her name I can check when she will be out."
"Melissa Kenit." I type in her name. I call up the room number and ask for when they will be out.
"Melissa will be out in fifteen minutes you can take a seat or wait here," I say to him.
"Okay thank you Adeline, I'm Liam sorry I forgot to introduce myself earlier." He says running his fingers through his hair.
"It's nice to meet you Liam."
"I know this is totally inappropriate but are you busy tonight."
"It's fine, yes I am free."
"How does dinner sound?"
"Perfect."
"What about we meet at that Italian Restaurant down the road at six."
"Sounds good Liam see you tonight." Wow, did I just get a date.
He goes to his sister who appears from my mums office.
"Bye Adeline See you later Gorgeous."
"See ya later Liam." I wave at him.
What the hell do I wear to a date? I haven't been on one in so long. I finally find a plain black blouse and a floral skirt. I slip on some black pumps. I do my makeup and curl my hair. I grab my purse and phone.
"You look fancy are you going on date." Luke questions me.
"I have a date with a guy I met today."
"Okay be safe Adeline."
"Bye Luke don't watch American Horror Story without me."
"I won't, have fun be safe." I walk down the stairs and drive to the restaurant.
"Table for one Miss?" The waitress asks.
"No I'm here for a date it might be under Liam Kenit."
"Oh yes he is here already he is at table 25 in the corner enjoy."
"Thank you." I walk to the corner and see Liam standing there with flowers.
"Adeline I'm so glad you could make it, these are for you." He hands me the red roses.
"Thank You Liam you are such a gentlemen I love them." I give him a kiss on the cheek and we sit down opposite each other.
"So you're a receptionist?"
"I'm Filling in My Mother owns the youth centre, I'm actually a dancer." I say taking a sip from my champagne.
"That's really cool." He says genuinely.
"So what do you do and if you don't mind me asking how old are you."
"Well I'm Twenty-four, and I am University student doing my final year of business management." He says and signals the waiter over and we order.
"I'm nineteen turning twenty in December by the way."
"By the way you are looking gorgeous tonight." I instantly blush.
"Thank you, your shirt looks great." I blurt out nervously.
"You are so adorable when you're nervous did you know that?"
"No but thank you." I say and start eating my ravioli I ordered.
"This is delicious." He says as he wipes his mouth.
"Oh it is the best meal I have had in a while, my roommates not that good of a cook." I laugh.
"Oh isn't she I'm sure you could teach her." He smiles.
"It's a guy who does the cooking, I live with Luke and his little sister Bella." I say awkwardly.
"Oh so are you guys just friends." He asks nervously.
"Yeah Totally just friends, we have been living together for four months."
"Cool so are you looking to be in a relationship."
"Well I would love to be in one."
"Well Adeline would you please be my girlfriend I know it's just the first day but I have a feeling I could really get to know you."
"Of course I will be your girlfriend I think we could work out."
"I will go pay the cheque." He comes back and walk out the door.
"Hey Liam do you want to come over to my apartment." I say feeling spontaneous.
"Sure thing Adeline I will follow you in my car."
"See you there." I jump into the car and quickly drive home.
"Luke I'm home and I brought someone so don't be weird." I scream out to the quiet apartment.
"Welcome to my lovely home Liam." I say and pull him into the kitchen.
"Adeline can I kiss you?"
"I don't know can you?" He cups my face with his soft hands. His rough lips are upon mine. The kiss is short and sweet.
"Did you like that babe?" I nod and smash my lips back onto his. He picks me up and places me onto of the kitchen counter. My hands run through his thick blond hair messing it up from its perfect shape. I smile into the kiss and take a breath then we are at it again. Our lips move together in sync.
Liam starts kissing my jawline, I hear someone clearing there throat. I break away from the kiss and see Luke standing there.
"Oh hey Luke." I say awkwardly blushing.
"I need a cup." He says pointing at the cupboard my legs are currently hanging down in front of.
"Oh Sorry." I jump off the counter and stand next to Liam. We both stand there awkwardly.
"Hey Liam I think you should go home its getting late." Luke speaks up in an annoyed tone.
"Yeah I probably should." Liam says.
"But you don't have to Liam." I speak up softly.
"Its okay I will call you alright bye gorgeous." He says kissing my lips softly.
"Do you want me to walk you to your car?"
"Adeline I am fine, Go get a good night's sleep. Sweet Dreams." I kiss him on the cheek and lead him out the door.
"What the hell was that Luke?" I say rather loudly.
"Its getting late Adeline, how old is that guy anyway?' He questions he like a father.
"He is Twenty-four and a rather sweet gentlemen, maybe you could learn a thing or two from him." I say getting annoyed at him.
"He is like nearly five years older than you, and I could really tell how much of gentlemen he was by the way he was making out with you." He says sarcastically.
"What can't I have happiness?"
"I'm being protective because I want you to be happy Addy." He says lowering his voice.
"I don't need someone to protect me, I'm an adult I wasn't the one kicked out of my house." I say and storm off to my room. How to ruin my day Luke.
Wow! Tons of drama.
