Two years later

*Andrea's POV*

August 19, today is the day that I turn nineteen. It's amazing how the years have flown by and yet my past still keeps coming back. Just ten minutes ago that stupid detective Warren came knocking on my door to drop off the notebook Mason had been keeping. You'd think that all of the things involving him would have been over and done with by now but no there were all sorts of paper work and trials that were being taken care of.

It had only been a month since Jenny had been sentenced to jail. It took forever to actually get her trial date to stand firm because they kept moving it back. I always felt bad for her involvement but Alexi always told me that she brought it on herself. She was sentenced to seven years in prison for everything she had helped with and everything she planned. Hopefully she finds a girlfriend in jail so she wouldn't obsess over Alexander anymore.

Melanie, Mason's sister, had tried contacting me when Mason had died but I had told her that it would be better if we never interacted ever again. She agreed to not bother me but she managed to throw in several apologies before I hung up on her. I was over everything that had happened because of Mason.

Now here I sit, staring at the notebook that Mason had kept. Detective Warren said that I could read it or just throw it away and I was really conflicted right now. I could read it and find out for myself what Mason thought about me, but at the same time everything that he wrote could haunt me later on. I also didn't want to find out what he intended to do to me and Alexander.

"Hey," Jason greeted from right behind me. I almost passed out from how much he scared me. I placed a hand against my chest in a way to comfort my pounding heart.

"Jason, don't do that! You scared the shit out of me," I breathed out.

"I hope you don't mean literally," he joked. I just shook my head at him. "So... what's that that you have there?" He asked as he pointed to the notebook under my hand.

"Oh, this?" I played dumb. He gave me an obvious look and nodded. "It's just an old notebook that I was just about to burn," I replied quickly as I made my way to the fireplace in the living room.

I quickly started it up and rapidly threw it into the flames. I let out a sigh of relief as I watched the flames consume the notebook. The past was the past and I have no reason to look back into it. Alexander loves me and he treats me like an individual and that is all that matters to me right now.

"Okay, if that was just a book then why did you practically run to burn it?" Jason asked as he made his way towards me.

"Because it doesn't mean anything to me. I don't need to know what would have happened. The main thing that I need to know is that it didn't happen," I replied back.

Understanding came into his eyes and he nodded once more, "Right. Well, how about you get into that kitchen and make me a sandwich. Rebecca already left to visit her parents so by default it became your job."

"Really? You're going to make me make you a sandwich on my birthday?" I asked flabbergasted.

"Hey! I said happy birthday to you." He retorted.

"I remember. You woke me up at four in the morning when you jumped on me," I sulked.

"I did get you flowers and a cupcake," Jason said.

"That was nice of you," I mused.

"You see," he cheered.

"Fine but you owe me when it's your birthday," I threw back.
