*Andrea’s POV*

I’m only twenty-nine with a husband and two kids already. They have to be the greatest thing to have happened to me, but Alexander and I had agreed to wait a little bit to have more children.

“Mommy, can you turn on cartoons?” Alexander III asked as he pulled on my pant leg. I was currently in the kitchen preparing dinner and apparently I had zoned out while stirring the pasta.

“Please, Mommy!” Alexandria said as she hopped into the room. I turned to turn down the flame when I grabbed each of their little hands.

“Okay, Mommy is coming,” I told them as I led them into the living room.

Alexander is five and Alexandria had just turned four.

I turned on the TV to an educational channel when Alex asked, “Mommy, when is Daddy getting home?”

“He said that he will be getting h-” I tried telling them when I was cut off by the door bumping open.

“I’m home my wonderful family!” Alexi yelled from the door and I giggled in return.

“Daddy!” Alex and Alexandria screamed as they ran to meet him at the doorway.

“Oh! How are my wonderful kids today?” Alexander asked them as he lifted both of them in his arms while kissing each in return.

I couldn’t help but smile at the sight of my family. Alex had inherited my black hair color but his facial structure and eyes were a replica of his father’s. Alexandria had her father’s light brown hair color and lips while she had everything else imaging me.

“We’re great daddy!” Alex answered with so much enthusiasm. It was no surprise that he loved to mimic his father.

“How was work daddy?” Alexandria asked as she tugged on his tie.

“It was a long day with many, many pictures. Now, why don’t you kids go and play while I give my lady a kiss hello,” he told them as he put them down and playfully swatted their butts. “I’ll be in to play with you two in a minute,” he continued before they began protesting.

They made their way to the living room and out of sight before Alexander grabbed me and pulled me close.

“Well, hello to you too birthday boy,” I replied before my lips met him in greeting.

“Hi honey. How was work for you?” He asked as he moved his hands to rest on my rear.

“Alexi! We have two very impressionable kids!” I chastised him as I tried to move his hands away.

“They’re not here now to see anything now,” he retorted with a grin, but kept his hands were they rested. “So? How was your day?” He asked again.

“It was pretty good. We have a deadline to meet by the end of this week so everyone is kind of getting themselves in high gear but other than that it’s smooth sailing,” I explained as I ran my hands through his hair.

“That sounds great. What about the doctor’s appointment you went to today?” The one question I was hoping he wouldn’t ask so soon. I had told him that I had a surprise for him but judging from how touchy he is being towards me, he is expecting a different surprise from the one I’m going to give him.

Thankfully the doorbell rang, saving me from having to reply to his question. I untangled myself from his hold and made my way towards the door and he followed closely from behind.

“Happy Birthday!” Justin, Brooke and their three year old son Blake chorused when we opened the door.

“Thank you. Come on in you guys,” Alexander welcomed them as he ushered them inside.
