*Alexander's POV*
I dragged Andrea by her hand into a nearby restaurant. Her hand felt cold and small in mine. I smiled at that. Getting her to open up to me seemed like it was going to take some time, but I was willing to wait.
We sat down and I quickly left her to go order our food. I didn't ask her what she wanted because I wanted to see if I still knew her as well. When I returned, she was still sitting in the same booth that I left her in and she was looking out at nothing.
"Hey," I said in order to get her attention, which worked because she quickly snapped out of it.
"Oh, hey. You're back. I thought you had ditched me for a second," she joked with a smile, but for some reason I always sensed a haunted feeling whenever she joked or smiled. It was as if something was eating at her.
"Never," I replied back, which only made her blush. "You look so cute when you blush," I commented. She turned her face away and bit at her lip, which only had me wanting her companionship even more.
Our order came in the next fifteen minutes. I had ordered us cheeseburgers because that seemed to be the fastest thing they could make us. I knew that she hated tomato, onions, and pickles so I had ordered hers without them. For some reason she liked extra lettuce instead.
"Wow! You remembered what I like," she let out, surprised.
"Your little quirks are hard to forget," I commented.
"I don't have-" she started to say until she was my pointed look.
"You like ketchup, but not tomatoes. Onion rings but not onion. You have to make sure your drink is to the front if your plate and not the side. You bite your lip when you're worried or just thinking. Should I go on?"
"You noticed all that?" She looked bewildered.
"I notice a lot about you," I replied smug and pleased.
"So that girl on the beach the other day?" She questioned randomly and when she saw she caught me off guard she looked pleased causing a smirk to appear on her full pink lips. I looked away from her mouth and instead looked into her hazel eyes.
"Yeah, um, she's a girl that I went on, like three dates with. Her name's Brooke, but that day she got mad because I didn't want to use her as a model for my homework assignment. She wants to be a model and she got offended because I didn't ask her. It wasn't working out anyway because she was too focused on herself than trying to be in a relationship," I explained.
"Why didn't you ask her? She's pretty," Andrea asked.
"She is, but you're beautiful," I added which caused her to look away from me. I continued on, "I hope this doesn't sound weird but I've been kind of in an inspiration less mood as of late. When I saw you again it brought back all these memories and I was able to see how you grew up and the woman you've developed into caused something to spark and everything fell into motion. I was wondering if I can ask you something? It's more like a favor."
"What is it?" She said quietly.
"I was wondering if you would be my model for my homework assignment?" I asked shyly and hoped that she would say yes.
"Who would be seeing the photos?" She asked nervously.
"Just my professor and my class maybe," I answer a bit confused.
"Are you sure it would only be them?"
"Yes, I pretty sure," I reassure her because she looks really nervous.
"Okay, then I'll help you. I really doubt that I'm the perfect person to do this for you, but if you really need my help..." She let the sentence hang as if hoping that I might say that I didn't need her after all. But I wasn't lying about inspiration. I was having a really hard time with that and then I saw her and it was as if she had become my muse.
With her long wavy black hair that hung like silk, her creamy complexion, her white teeth that appeared every time she smiled along with her dimples, and her tall and nicely proportioned body, she was the perfect person for anything.
"Thank you so much!" I let out and practically tackled her. I kissed her cheek and she stiffened.
I quickly moved away. "I'm sorry! I know I'm being too forward and I apologize. I need to stop being such a creep. It's just that I feel so comfortable around you."
"You're not a cr- okay maybe just a little,"she admitted. "You're just really friendly, although some of your complements make me sort of uncomfortable,"she added.
"Sorry about that I just think you should be complemented often. That came out really cheesy,"I replied scrunching up my face.
To my surprise she started laughing and I looked up to see a genuine laugh coming out of her lips which caused me to laugh in return.
"That was really cheesy, but it was, um, sweet. I didn't mean any offense to you. It's just that I'm not used to someone who is just straight forward with me. You're complements only make me uncomfortable because they catch me off guard and you only really complement me on my looks," she confessed.
"Oh, no! I swear it's not just your looks. I'll try not to make you feel that way. You've always been an incredible person even when you were an eleven year old. You were always the one who understood me and could make me laugh. And for some odd strange reason I could always do that to you too," I reassured.
"Yeah, you could," she said somewhat distant. She quickly snapped out of it and checked her watch. "Shoot! I'm sorry I better get going if I'm going to make it to class on time."
"Yeah, yeah. Sorry for keeping you. Can I at least walk you?"
"Sure," she said as she started reaching for her wallet. "Here, let me go-"
"Don't even worry about it," I cut her off. She rolled her eyes, but didn't say anymore.
When we arrived at her class five minutes early, I stopped her. "What time does your class get out?"
"1:45. Why?"
"I want to talk to you some more. Can I pick you up after class?" I asked her and held my breath for her answer.
"Sure, that's fine," she answered.
"Good! I'll see you in a little bit then," I gave her a grin and a hug and let her go to class.
I couldn't wait to spend more time with her and this time I wasn't going to let her go again.
