*Andrea's POV*

It had been a week since I had helped Alexander with his photos. He was still the same old sweet Alexander. The whole week, he had been sending me good morning and good night texts. They were kind gestures, but I knew that I had to keep my distance. I didn't want to get hurt again. Not that I thought Alexander would ever hurt me, but I didn't want to take the chances.

He had been asking me when we could get together again, but I kept telling him that I had class or that I was working. I wasn't lying to him, but between my schedule, I did have some free time. I just wasn't the type of girl to find someone and conform to certain aspects of a "happy" life.

I wanted to do things differently. My way.

I knew what Alexander wanted someone that would love him and build something with him, but I don't think I'm ready for that now or ever.

He had sent me a text two days ago asking, "Are you avoiding me?"

Me: No I've been busy.

Him: Are you okay?

Me: Fine

Him: Okay now I know you're avoiding me. Or are you mad at me? Did I do something wrong?

Me: I'm not avoiding you. And I'm not mad. Everything is just so busy for me right now.

Him: We can make time for each other right?

Me: I've been trying

Him: How about on Thursday? Some of my friends are getting together?

Me: I work that night.

Him: :'( Saturday?

Me: I have to see and find out. That's usually my cleaning/homework day.

Him: I can help you with that stuff??? :D

Me: I can do it.  I'll let you know if I'm free.

Him: Get back to me soon. I miss you. I want to see you again.

I didn't reply back to his message, but he still didn't stop with his constant texts. Now it was Thursday and I was here at the movie theaters working the concession stand. It was 10:00 at night and I was running on low energy, but I still managed to paste on a fake smile to each customer.

Though I had to admit that the teenage couples that were constantly sucking face every five seconds was getting on my nerves. It was hard to look someone in the face and take their order when just two minutes ago they were making out with someone. It made me uncomfortable.

I didn't have any customers in my line so I decided to restock on cups and trays. I was still grabbing cups from under the counter when I heard voices next to my register.

"I'll be right with you," I yelled towards them while waving my hand over my head, so that it would appear over the counter and they would know that I was there.
