Merida in Berk

Chapter 2

Jack's POV

Well Hiccup's really done it this time. I thought as I look at the wild hair girl passed out on the couch. I just can't believe he brought her to Berk. I had been here for about 3 years now after falling for the villagers healer Rapunzel. God she sure is something. While I bring the fun in winter she brings beauty to the spring. God that sounded corny. But hey what can I say I'm in love with her.

I befriended Hiccup right away I liked his humor plus he was the only guy there I wasn't afraid of killing me if I got near him. Of course then I met his dragon which still kinda worries me to this day.

"Is this the girl?" I heard my girlfriend say.

"Yup, she sure is different!" I said

"Hey you're pretty different but I still like you." Rapunzel said.

"Haha very funny!"

Rapunzel began her thing she wrapped her hair around the girl's forehead and started to sing.

"Hmm, well she's not injured just exhausted, better let her rest."

"Thank you Rapunzel," said Hiccup from the doorway.

"How long have you been there mister dark shadows?" I said.

"Not long I was just putting away Toothless. Are you sure she's okay?"

"She'll be fine just let her rest." She said.

"It's been a long night I think me and Rapunzel are going to go home knock if you need anything or if she wakes up and get some sleep." I said.

Hiccup's POV

I know that Jack said get some rest but I just couldn't fall asleep. This mystery girl just falls out of a tree and now she's here lying on my couch. I don't even know her name. I to draw in my journal of the dragon I saw below her. Then without realizing it I started drawing that glimpse I saw of her in the tree above the beast. Until I slowly drifted off to sleep.

Merida's POV

I fluttered my eyes open to an unfamiliar cottage like house. Where am I? I tried to remember what had happened the day before. That's right I was falling out of a tree because of a lizard thing and then all of sudden a boy my age just flew out of nowhere and caught me.

I looked around and saw the boy asleep over his desk. Next to him was a book with drawings. I saw a drawing of a girl that had hair like mine standing looking below on a tree. He had drawn the event. A little weird but the drawing was amazing I have to say.

I decided to open the window shutters. I instantly regretted doing that for what I saw was a big dark black lizard only this one had wings I screamed and shut the doors.

The boy awoke with a jolt.

"What wha what is it, what happend? You're awake!!" He said

"Don't go out there, there is a horrible dark beast outside!!"

The boy sighed in relief, "That's just my pet dragon Toothless, he's harmless."

A dragon? A pet? Where in the world was I ?

The boy started opening the shutters

"No don't!!" I yelled.

He opened them and there was the dragon rolling around like a wee puppy in the grass.

"I know terrifying right." He chuckled.

"Well he was a lot closer when I opened it."

"Uh huh well without this "horrible beast" help probably wouldn't of been able to save you in time."

I felt guilty.

"I'm sorry I forgot to thank you and your...... pet for saving me."

"No problem, so what's your name?"

"Merida and yours."

The boy breathed in and paused for a second.

"My name's.......Hiccup."

"Nice to meet you Hiccup, I'm sorry but your land sure has a weird way of naming things I mean Toothless, Hiccup...."

"Yeah I know, anyway I should probably take you to see Rapunzel she'll be wanting to see how you are."

"See again with the names....."

"Wait till you meet the people!" He said.
