Merida in Berk

Chapter 11

Hiccups POV

Merida and I decided to take our dragons out for a ride one cold morning. She had gotten used to flying, once she got the hang of it and was actually getting close to beating me and Toothless in races. Of course no one can beat us though.

"Hey Hiccup watch this!!!" She shouted.

Blaze flung a ring of fire below and Merida jumped right through it and got caught by her dragon.

"Beat that!" She said.

"Uh Merida you're hair's caught on fire." I stated.

She looked and saw the tip of her hair burning. With a big huff she made her hair turned completely into fire. I love it when she does that. She smirked.

"That's the least of your problems."

"Fine but can you do this?" I playfully asked.

I then started breathing fire with Toothless while spinning until it made a huge swirl of fire below us I then jumped and ate the entire swirl of fire and was caught by Toothless.

"Well now you're just being a show off." She teased.

"Well I have to impress you somehow." I smiled then from nowhere I burped and smoke blew out from my mouth. She started laughing.

"Bit off more than you can chew aye Hiccup?"

"That's her, the princess she's been taken by a dragon!" A voice bellowed.

Oh no! Balls and chains flung into the air and caught Blaze and she started hurdling down. I rushed down with Toothless and grabbed Merida off her saddle.

"Noooooo!" She cried as she saw Blaze fall down with a thud. We went down to get her before the Scots arrived.

"Quickly untangle her Hiccup!"

I got out my knife and started thrashing the ropes but my arm was hit with a sharp pain. I cried out in pain and turned around to see huge men wearing kilts with weapons in their hands.

I was about to transform but Merida shouted "Hiccup don't!"

I stopped turn towards her.

Merida's POV

I can't let him do this they'll kill him on the spot or he'll kill my father and his men.

"Stop! Father that's enough!" I stated.

"This young man saved me from dying more than once and now here you are shooting arrows at him!"

"Merida get away from the dragon!" He said.

"Dad these dragons are trained and one of you just shot mine down!"

The men looked confused and embarrassed.

"You're coming home Merida, your mothers been worried sick!" He said.

"Well tell her I'm in perfect condition and am well, I even mastered my powers."

"Merida! Do not talk about that in front of the stranger!"

"This stranger's name happens to be Hiccup and he has powers too!" I stated " He's also my boyfriend." I mumbled.

"What?!?! A Viking Merida you had to choose a Viking didn't yee!"he yelled.

"Well we better get him to the castle to fix his injury, sorry lad, and boys untangle the dragon."
